They are all similar to the style Casey has with different designs. Thats what say to its like amalgamation of Casey's old mask and newer more modern masks
The first one is from Zach and Miri Make a Porno... the other two are from like the late 70's.

Oh hey look a hockey mask from the 70s that somewhat resembles the type of hockey mask Casey Jones is known to wear in shape and size.

Probably also wouldn't make Amell look like a child wearing his dad's hockey mask when he puts it on.

Still a shot of him playing in a simi professional way. Wearing the hockey mask playing hockey.

No, they're not.

The tiger one is the mask of Gilles Gratton, retired hockey goalie.

He was active in the 70s.

https://www.google.com/search?q=gill..._AUIBigA&dpr=1

The skull one is the mask of Gary Bromley, also retired, also active in the 70s.

https://www.google.com/search?q=Gary..._AUIBigA&dpr=1

Care to try again?

Oh dear lord.

I'm sorry, Sam. I know you're going through a rough time right now and I don't want to be a dick to you. But a lot of people have times where they're caught just not knowing what they're talking about, and at those times it really is best to just... know when to stop talking.

This is hilarous, it's like the "Foot will totally have swords since the Lego sets have swords" ordeal.

You are aware that it is 2016 now, no? 2016 - 1979 = 37

Exactly. It wouldn't be hard to cut the vertical slits over the mouth to make that look closer to the classic look, either. I did that with a cheapo costume mask in that kind of style like 7 years ago:

Heck, beyond the cheapness of the mask and wig there, I'd argue that's a better Casey Jones costume than what they pulled off for this big-budget movie, and it cost me about $40 total.

You're just saying yours looks better because it actually looks like Casey Jones.

Seriously, why did no one dig through the trash bins on the set of Arrow and grab Amell's "flashback" wig?

Guilty. It's not like they set the bar very high or anything.

For real, though. the look of Flashback Oliver Queen would have been a pretty serviceable Casey.

Your costume was great, though. Not hating.

Although at this point, I could get a brown paper bag, drawing a hockey mask on it, punch out two eye-holes, and put that over my face... and it'd be a more accurate Casey Jones costume than Stephen Amell and his Alien xenomorph facehugger hockey mask.

The first picture looks like a cosplayer and the others look like they are pictures from the 80's. So I guess if 80's mask that has gone through two evolutions already is modern in your book.

I can see an argument with you goes no where because you will bend things or making things up to support your opinion. Which I find hilarious because it's what you've been accusing others of.

EXACTLY. The long straggly hair is perfect. But no, they went all "League of Assassins" buzzcut on Amell.

I mean, Casey's look is not hard to get right. It was designed specifically to be something that basically anyone could throw together cheaply and easily. A production like this could get a wig and an accurate mask made up very quickly.

I assume they just didn't want him to look like Casey. They wanted him to look like Stephen Amell. Because Amell's got an online following and that's the way his fans are used to seeing him. Same situation with Megan Fox. They're not really "actors" in this -- actors would change their looks to suit the character because that's what actors do -- they're just kind of being themselves because the producers think that's more important and/or more marketable.

Dumb thinking, IMO, and the absolute wrong priorities for a franchise movie like this. But... I mean, c'mon, it's Platinum Dunes, uhdoy.

A lot of the charm is gone compared to the older movies, especuyally the 1990 movie. With the PD being full of name actors that require face time. The Turtles have the actor's face plastered on, Shredder is probably helmetless for the majority of TMNT2 and Steven Amell is there with a cool car and a mask.

The charm with the 1990 movie is that the Turtles are the stars not the actors. in PD, they can't stress enough that the Turtles are Joel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson and Pete Ploszek/Johnny Knoxville.

And that's exactly why their faces look so unappealing because they just had to make them look like the actors. It had nothing to do with not being able to animate something that looked more turtle like.

The commercial that premiered during the Super Bowl is already airing regularly on television? I would have thought late April not mid February. Nick's Nick At Nite segment is airing it in its commercial rotation.

I will fully admit I was wrong about the others being modern and i m sorry I was wrong. All modern masks have cages and the old styles have died out in pro players. I'll admit I don't watch jockey nor fallow it. But shearching through photos and such does show one thing no real hockey player really wears or wore the kind of mask Casey originally had and the style Casey is wearing in this movie seem to be the style the players actually wear. And seeming as they are largely safer that makes since. My sentiment that he likely wears the mask he does because that is more in the style a real hockey player would own still stands.
