What Comics Are You Currently Following?

I know we have a thread for books we're currently reading but I was hoping we could get one started specifically for comic book series, maybe we can get it stickied.

Feel free to share what comic series you're currently reading, what series you dropped due to disinterest, upcoming series you're looking forward to, or all-time favorite series you think others would enjoy. I look forward to hearing about some new comic series.

The Only Comic I am really "following" is the Original Hellblazer run of John Constantine. Trying to get all 300 Issues.

In December I am gonna try All New GOTG and if I like that I will follow that comic series.

Other than that just reading Daredevil and a Jonah Hex Comic I got

Currently I'm pulling:

TMNT
TMNTU
TMNT/Ghostbusters II
B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know
Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.
Paper Girls
Saga
Southern Bastards
and everything tied-into the DC Dark Nights: Metal event (note: it's really good!)

I was reading Dr. Strange and Deadpool but both have lost my interest so I think I'm going to take a break for a while, see where the stories go and if I want to get caught back up

What's the last issue you read?? Things have gotten so crazy, but it's still managing to be so good

Saga, I last left off when they arrived at the western steampunk abortionist planet. What a description.

East of West, I don't even remember where I left off... Southern Bastards I trailed off with, too... Paper Girls I tried but couldn't get into. Too weird.

I Hate Fairyland is awesome.

As far as actual physical comic books, just TMNT and TMNT Universe. I’m kinda on a budget and can’t really afford to buy any more than that.
I used to read Archie’s Megaman comic but that was put “on hiatus” (more like forever canceled) and I’m behind on Invader Zim since the website I download ‘em from’s been acting up recently.

On the manga side, Watamote, D-Frag, Cupid’s Chocolates, and the physical volumes of Haganai and Oregairu whenever they come out.

Yeah, if I pick East of West back up I'll need to start the series over to refresh my memory.

Southern Bastards suffered a series of unfortunate delays due to deaths on both halves of the creative teams families. I think its resumed regular releases though.

Paper Girls is a lot better when you can read several story arcs at once. It would be worth checking out if they have the trades at your local library.

I've seen solicits for I Hate Fairyland but I've never read it. I may check it out one day

Is that what happened to Southern Bastards? It killed the old guy, introduced his daughter... and then fell off a cliff.

I only follow TMNT and Usagi Yojimbo, but for the latter I wait for trades and don't pick up single issues.

I don't have time or money to pick up comics otherwise. I won't get into a series from DC or Marvel due to constant reboots or retcons/relaunches.

Comic books feel like they're becoming an outdated medium, but at least now you can buy them digitally on ipads or phones and such. Still I don't see it worth the time.

TMNT is of course an exception, thank god IDW is as good as it is.

Yeah, pretty sucky. I felt bad when I found out. Anyways, there are issues schedules for early December and January and I believe they're the start of the final countdown for the series. I appreciate a series that tells a concise story and doesn't ramble on for years if it doesn't have the energy to do anything compelling.

Careful now Cubed, let's not turn this into another "My, how the times have changed" thread

I'd recommend checking out TPBs at your library or the bookstore to find stuff you might be interested in

Once I feel a series is rambling on, I drop it. It's why I keep losing interest with Saga then getting back to it, and why I dropped East to West and a few others.

In the next volume it showed Couch Boss's backstory and it later became an anthology series focusing on the townsfolk.

I'm pretty selective, but I love the books I do follow:

Doom Patrol - Gerard Way, Nick Derington

Miracle Man - Tom King, Mitch Gerards

Seven to Eternity - Rick Remender, Jerome Opena

I would easily recommend these three to anyone. Loving them and hoping for hardcover collections.

I'm a big fan of Marvel, but they aren't putting anything out I love.

Seven to Eternity and Birthright

Just got hooked on both of them and powered through the back issues. Awesome stuff!

I believe that they are showcasing all the various townspeople who want Coach Boss dead, and the current arc, "Gut Check", is the second to last one.

How do you like these titles? I've been thinking of getting into IDW's Godzilla series for a while now but keep forgetting. Same thing with the paranormal Archie titles

What about you, how do you like these titles? I love crossovers so I was thinking of getting caught up on Harley & Ivy Meet Betty & Veronica and Wonder Woman/Conan. If there was a new Red Sonja crossover I'd probably read that too

Don't know if you heard yet, but TMNT/Batman II #1 will come out December 6th and #2 December 20th

Doomsday Clock will deal with the Watchmen universe 's incursion into the DC universe, right? I might check that out
