Be curious to know if they fixed Mikey's finger nails for the re-release. Can't see anyone commenting either way yet, all the focus has been on Leo's belt.

Not all Raphs did. Only the newer ones with the closed fist hands.

Ugh, down with all running changes! I have the first release of Wave 1 and the re-release of Wave 2 and my OCD is causing me to break out in hives.

Them Mother Effers

I paid $48 to Super7 for shipping but the shipping company that Super7
uses wants to extort more money from me.

I've imported so many things especially from Neca and i've never had to pay tax. This is a first.

I asked that a few weeks ago and it was pointed out that the current production status is "first pre-production samples being reviewed", so... it's going to be awhile. Hope for summer, prepare for fall.

I could be misremembering, but I thought during the Toy Bro interview with Brian Flynn from a couple months ago, Flynn said the completed figures were "on the water."

NECA likely haven't declared the proper value so slipped passed customs.

i can’t believe they still haven’t noticed that there’s no paint between leo’s teeth. that’s pretty major, imo.

glad you finally got your set!

Personally, it bugs me because we basically launched this line in good faith by pre-ordering three waves before having a single figure in hand. We didn't know what the figures were going to be like, how the distribution was going to be handled, etc etc. It was just "I like this concept and the images they're showing are promising". Then the figures started showing up and every wave had it's fair share of issues, most of which should have easily been spotted/corrected by anyone paying attention. Instead they put out the figures and let the internet tell them how many things they screwed up. Now they're fixing them with re-releases, leaving us original buyers holding the "inferior" versions.

I'm probably over-dramatizing it a touch but yeah, it bugs me, too. My opinion of Super7 is... not high.

Well for anyone who is interested, I have the original releases of Wave 1 and the re-release of Wave 2, all MIB, and would like to trade with somebody so that I'm consistent all around. PM me if you are interested.

100% agree. I like the preorder direct to consumer model, but to make this many changes to the final product and then only address them in re-releases (and why are there already 3 re-releases of a line that's less than two years old???) seems like a poor decision on S7's end. If anything, they should've offered to replace parts that they knew were messed up to begin with. That being said, I'll contact S7's customer service to see if they can offer a replacement belt. If it was NECA, I wouldn't even bother because their customer service is practically nonexistent but S7 does have a better track record with there's. I'll keep you all up to date when I receive a response.

I guess we are all too used to collecting playmates toys where the first release soft heads are regarded as "the best".
And we brought this mentality to modern day toy collecting and things don't quite work the same way because figures are
getting better & better with each release, and it's the same with Neca too because Turtles in Disguise is now the go-to
Neca turtles rather the the first release ones so i understand where you guys are coming from.

Seems like it pays to be a late adopter now.

Eh. Soft heads being the "best" is only because they were first issue and ended up being more rare, and especially rare in good condition (if loose). Durability wise, and practically speaking, the hard heads are the best. Right now we are interested in the "best" durability and deco-wise for our money, but, later on, it's quite possible the earlier releases with all their "flaws" will still be more valuable because they may be harder to find in package or in good condition.

Welcome to collectibles 2022! These companies are just pumping out so much stuff, so fast, and it's gotten really expensive (and in some cases is a pain to get). It's just not worth it anymore, at least not for me.
