"The Spy Next Door"
The acting was pretty atrocious, though it picked up toward the end. After all this time, Jackie still hasn't learned English. So, as I expected, the only thing I enjoyed about this movie was Jackie's stunt-work. There were actually three or four of Chan's physical comedy moments that actually made me laugh out loud. I probably wouldn't pay to see it again, but it was nice (for a children's movie).

Sherlock Holmes: A fun action flick with lots of charismatic actors, nothing more and nothing less.

I like looking at charismatic actors for two hours. I usually feel that I've gotten my money's worth. There is a definite lack of charismatic men in real life.

Shooter. Had never even heard of it before, was on telly last night so I watched it. Well fun. Good action flick. Snipers rock. Hancock. Good laugh, and Charlize Theron looked mega hot in it, which was surprising, because i'm not normally a fan. I like the idea of a drunk superhero being a dick all the time. Any comics with a similar premise out there?

I've been watching a ton of films lately because I have to hand in my final thesis next Monday and need something to make all the procrastinating more enjoyable. LOL
Aladdin: I hadn't seen this one since it was in theaters. It was nice going back to a childhood memory and the songs are as catchy as ever. Talladega Nights: My first time seeing this one, it was totally hilarious. I hope the Sherlock Holmes comedy film really gets made because Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Farell make a fantastic lead duo. Tropic Thunder: Also the first time I've seen it. Funny but not quite as good as I expected it to be. It made me respect Tom Cruise and even Tobey Maguire a bit more though. |

My friends kept pestering me to see Inglourious Basterds so I checked it out. First let me state that I am not at all a fan of Tarantino and his "homages," so I fully expected to dislike the film but I can't really say that I did. That said, I didn't particularly care for any of it either.

I've seen a few movies over the weekend.
First, was American Violet. Based on a true story of a woman who was about to become apart of a long line of convictions for a Texas DA, who looked at meeting quota, instead of going after the real criminals. Sad thing, all this was taken place in the early 2000's. Then I saw Oceans 12. I was board with that one. Just now, got back from Legion. Kind of disappointed. Paul Bettany was definitely easy on the eyes, and I digged the whole rebellious angel thing and the duel he had going with Gabriel, but when they weren't on screen, the movie started to drag. Interesting premise, but could have been executed better. I would have liked it more if it concentrated more on the Angels, and less on the humans. |

I saw The Bow again. I think I was able to appreciate it more this time around. Cute and well-directed little movie with some wonderful music.

Finally saw Avatar. I want to see it again for all the lovely visuals. God, I had the most awesome dreams last night thanks to how magical they made the whole thing look...

Vomit.
Saw 6. I thought it was one of the better Saw movies. Bonus points for Eddie Winslow showing up.

About to watch one of the best movies of all time in a few minutes. That's right, SPACE JAM.

Superstition ('82) Wyvern The Crazies ('73) Sunshine Liked 'em all and it was good to watch The Crazies again. Not really looking forward to the remake, though. I kinda figured that.
