Saw Push on Saturday. Good movie. I like the Hong Kong scenery with its vivid colors and patterns. Cast was great, action was awesome.

Watching a Swedish vampire movie called "Let the Right One In."
Not my cup of tea.

Word. Easily one of the most beautiful films I've seen in years.
Just got back from a midnight IMAX showing of Watchmen. I certainly didn't hate it. Not sure yet if I liked it, though.

Watched the Mario Bava movie Black Sabbath, which was a different kind of Italian horror, especally anthology-wise. I had been kind of wanting to see the movie a while ago and am glad I finally got the chance to see it.
After that, I watched The Curse of the Living Corpse, which wasn't bad. It didn't seem like standard low-budget schlock either.

I finally saw Coraline in 3D today, and I really enjoyed it. We had some excitement in the theater, they started showing Friday the 13th instead of Coraline. I was wondering why there were so many R rated previews. But, hey, it worked out for everyone there, they gave us vouchers for a free movie!

Watched Double Indemnity recently and it was very good. In a way, watching it made me glad I got into the noir genre.
Also saw Watchmen recently and liked it. Was pleased with the performances and would've like it if there was a bit more back story regarding Rorschach and all that jazz, but maybe those kinda things will be elaborated upon in the director's cut. Watched Tank Girl yesterday and it was a fun movie. With all the strange stuff in it, I think it was right up my alley.

Yes! Coraline was fantastic! Easily one of the best (if not the best) movies I've seen this year.
Loved the effects and feel of the movie. Watching it actually took me back to my childhood. It felt so nostalgic for some reason. |

Saw a couple of movies.
Watchmen - I enjoyed it, It wasn't perfect but I felt it was entertaining and thats all I really need. Coraline - Didn't hold my interest, Stopped caring about an hour in. Taken - Kick-ass movie that I didn't expect much of. Madea Goes To Jail - All of the Madea parts are hilarious but the rest of the movie with the lawyer and the prostitute are tiresome. Got tickets for Last House on the left on friday and Race to Witch Mountain on saturday (I have to see it, THE ROCK!)

I agree, I loved the characters, the story was wonderfully paced and well written, and I thought it was visually stunning. I couldn't understand why most of the people leaving the theater with me didn't like it.

I watched a classic just recently because my wife suggested it. I actually liked it even though it's not my kind of movie.

Watched Streets of Fire recently and it was rather enjoyable. Having not seen it in years, it was a pleasant experience to refresh my memory.

Just wanted to mention that all Watchmen-related posts have been split to their own thread (besides the posts that mention other movies as well).
