I'm not an elitist. If I didn't already have a good gaming PC, I probably would buy a PS4, as it's less expensive that a new PC.
Also, I probably wouldn't be a PC gamer at all if my parents had let me have a console when I was a kid. |

Uh, less expensive? Maybe in Candyland.
That said, I'm also a PC guy and have no plans on getting the next gen consoles right away. Oh boy, Battlefield 4! |

I originally got my PC for around $400, (Just computer) and when i bought it it wasn't very good. Easily outclassed by PS4. Even now the PS4 might excel in some areas.

If you originally got your computer for $400 it certainly wouldn't be cheaper to upgrade it than to buy a PS4. That's nonsense.

Umm.... normal upgrades don't cost $400. What I'm looking at is about $200.
Why are we talking about this so much anyways? |

It's gonna take me 5 years to clear my backlog of Xbox 360 games as it is before I have time for anything on PS4 or Xbox One.
Exaggerations aside, I plan on sticking to my "one year minimum wait" policy before getting either. Nothing against anyone else, but as far as budget, time, and number of good games to pick up that's always worked well for me. I totally get it, though; anyone jumping in early is already going to have played a lot of cool games a bunch before I even get to. That's cool. I do get itchy when any new system comes out but there's usually only a couple good games the first few months, and that helps me maintain. Plus, I kind of am in more need of more tattoos than more games, right now.

I hear the PS4 has lots of megabytes and megahertz! But it just can't beat my PC with all this GAMING RAM! I also got red lights on my fans for maximum performance!!

I preordered mine the day gamestop started taking preorders. I've got about $370 on it, so I'm not far from having it paid! Gaming is my main hobby. I don't really put much money into anything else I do, so I feel like every few years I can treat myself to something new.
I got a Vita on release day too. I'm excited for the remote play capabilities. My Gamestop told me they might not do a midnight release for the console "because of the security risk"...ugh. C'mon. I live in middle-of-nowhere NY. Its not like there are hooded criminals roaming the streets. I do remember the ruckus caused from people getting turned away while in line for the Wii though... |

Well with the GTAV midnight launches there were some widely publicized related crimes. Some stores may want to avoid that.
Glad I went amazon Don't are about getting it at midnight, just want it on launch day. |

I regularly do midnight launches there. GTA had some drunk dudes, but no real riff raff. COD had a fight I guess (surprise ). He said because its something that costs a lot of money they don't wanna have anyone getting mugged in the parking lot.
I don't trust the postal system to deliver anything on time, even if its launch day guaranteed. I'd be going insane waiting for the UPS man, and USPS never does what they're supposed to in my experience haha. I only really trust myself to drive to the store and pick it up. Oh well, I'm an early bird anyway. I'll get up at like 6 AM and be first in line definitely will be taking THAT day off work. |
