It might have been similar to IDW - both the Neutrinos and whatever Krang's species were called in the FW cartoon (if anything), formed an alliance to banish Krang from his dimension.

His crimes could have been that he was selecting unwilling subjects to test his mutagen on. He might have grown his reptilian body from it, but, why stop at that? Also, he seemed to hate the Neutrinos for some reason.

The Foot Clan logo on The Technodome was placed as an alliance between Shredder and Krang.

But, I'm going to assume that the show's former creators didn't think that the series would get as far as it did.

It seems Fred Wolf and Nickelodeon share the same Dimension X, just different parts. Which explains why they mentioned the "Kraang's part of Dimension X".

but 2012 implies there is only "1" dimension x in the turtles multiverse, so that would mean that any continuity that uses dimension x would be that same dimension.
Except perhaps Archie since Dimension X is a galaxy there and not a dimension I think.

It might be true.

Let's check out:
Mirage–Image Comics, original movies, Next Mutation, 4 Kids cartoon: No Dimension X

Fred Wolf and Nickelodeon cartoons: Use Dimension X, and seem to share Dimension X

Archie Comics: Dimension X is a galaxy in the same universe as Earth, not affected.

Fleetway Comics: Never crossed over with any other TMNT universes. The only Dimension X scenes I recall were the interior of the Technodrome, when it was located in Dimension X. If you want, you can probably take them as loose early Archie continuty, where Dimension X is a galaxy in the same universe as Earth, and not affected.

Original video games: This feels like just a video game series with some great arcade action for its time, not a TMNT universe on its own. But if you play Tournament Fighters for the Sega Mega Drive–Genesis, you will learn that Dimension X even in ths "universe" is a galaxy, and not affected.

IDW: They never crossed over with any other TMNT.

Nickelodeon video games: While following the Nickelodeon cartoon, but they have never crossed over with other TMNT incarnations.

Platinum Dunes movies: These were produced at the time the Nickelodeon cartoon aired. But I can't even recall any Dimension X being mentioned, just "Earth's dimension" and "Krang's dimension". Again, they never crossed over.

Rise of the TMNT: Produced later, not so relevant.

Action figures: They are just that, action figures based on the comics, cartoons and movies. The story is developed by the children playing with them.

So, Fred Wolf and Nickelodeon probably share same Dimension X. The rest are irrelevant.

IDW has not directly crossed over with any other iteration of TMNT in the sense that they've met AU versions of themselves, this is true. However, it is made clear that Renet and Savanti are indeed the characters from Mirage, while Kakera does note that they are different from the Turtles he summoned before. So while no direct crossovers have been written as of yet, it is made clear the Mirage Turtles do exist somewhere in the multiverse. A possible explaination being that the IDW universe exists as a consequence of something that happened in a previous Mirage story.

Anyway, here's a realist explaination for the contradiction: They just made a new Dimension X because they wanted to do their own thing and never intended to make any crossovers. When they had to do one, they just didn't care enough to explain it.
