In fact come to think of it, I'm surprised no-one (e.g. NECA) has produced cartoon accurate figures of The Real Ghostbusters. I think they would be incredibly popular. I'll answer my own question...probably a licensing thing...

Should a dog-collar wearing brony really be throwing around "gay" as an insult?

Raph was way more like a Venkman in the 80's, not so much now, it could have been fitting for him. Mikey would have been Ray. Leo would have been Winston. Donnie makes the most sense as Egon.
These remind me so much of the Star Trek Turtles (more so than the WWE figures). Those figures had face lifts to appear like their character counter part. The fact that these ghostbuster figures will include extra ghost figures reminds me of the Kenner figures from back when. These will be bought.

Once again, you're all bad people for not loving these.

Why do they always do these in 6 inch? There are a few I might have gotten if they fit with my other basic figures. I wonder why they didn't reuse the ooze shooter ones. Somebody had a nice ghostbusters custom from one of those.

This set is certainly creative, to say the least.
Having been a fan of both The Real Ghostbusters and TMNT as a kid, this seems like the ultimate dream mash-up. While these figures are neat, I agree with others in that they should have just been turtles in Ghostbusters gear. Maybe it was totally in the hands of the license to determine the final product. I will grab at least Leo/Stantz, but I would have swooped up the entire set if they had looked like their turtle selves in Ghostbusters gear. |

Mikey looks fat, Leo looks like he's got a jug head, Don like he's wearing an oversized wig, and Raph like some creepy hispanic garbageman. |
