I don't expect a $20-22 figure to be marked down under $14 before they even hit shelves

That really doesn't ever happen

I think some retailers are just getting tired of Hasbro's case assortments, they ALWAYS get stuck with a bunch of figures that won't sell in every wave, it's a big problem for some stores.

I think anyone who's walked into a Target and seen nothing but Greedo and Slave Leia on the shelf when they were hoping to find a Boba Fett can understand. Or, to cite a ML example: Nothing but Superior Spider-Man with maybe a couple ASM2 Spideys and Electros and nothing else.

This is part of the reason why we see such big price increases on hasbro figures the least few years. They have to mark them up because they know there's going to be some figures in the wave that they are forced to mark down in order to sell them.

So instead of making every figure say 17 or 19 dollars they mark them all up and wait to see which ones don't sell and mark those down.

Really sucks for collectors. You can try to anticipate which ones will get marked down and hold off on buying those while hope to get those cheaper I guess, that's about all you can do

ridiculous how black widow keeps selling out within minutes of a restock on amazon each and every time.

meanwhile, spider-girl boomerang and some of the other spidey wave is in stock and has been for hours now...

For all those stressing about Widow, there's a revision case with 2x of her due in the summer - hopefully there'll be enough that the scalpers lose interest.

Still waiting for the Spidey swaps to hit the UK, doubt it'll happen. I managed to trade for Boomerang & Spider-Girl, but I need multiples of both for customizing (about a dozen, in Spider-Girl's case). All my local stores have Superior & Amazing Spidey pegwarming, with the odd Electro and Cat...

Well I can only speak for me, but I'm not stressing on Widow. I already have her. But if I can grab a second one for trading I will.

Though when I bought mine they were 16.99 and now amazon wants 21.99 for them, argh. harder sell.

Damn am I the only one still around?

Widow has been going in and out of stock A LOT lately. While the time she goes in stock does vary it tends to be early in the morning (USA time), like 5 or 6am PST

actually as I write this she is in stock for pre-order for a mid-May shipping date. but that probably won't last long.

How do people even keep track of when Widow goes OOS online? They sell out in a matter of minutes.

I've seen one on the shelf at a Wal-Mart but I left him for someone else since I already had him. Still kinda wish I would have picked him up though.

I have seen Toxin and Spider-Girl at target recently. Have not seen carnage or black cat in weeks. They are in different case assortments, I'm not sure if Carnage & Black Cat are being shipped in cases anymore... they could cycle them back in?

I haven't had luck finding restocks of Cap figures though, they sell fast

Marvel Legends X-Men Build-A-Figure Jubilee series will be a TRU exclusive.

Figs include:
- Stryfe (head and effects parts)
- Marvel Now Cyclops (right arm)
- Marvel Now Storm (torso/legs)
- Magneto (left arm)
- Unmasked Wolverine (only figure with NO build-a-fig parts, thankfully)

more: http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?c...2&itemid=17526

I will *try* to get them all... hopefully since this is a TRU exclusive set that means they will get tons of them in stock. We'll see. I do not have a magneto so I really want that one, even though the head sculpt isn't as perfect as I'd prefer. Storm and Stryfe though... wow they both look GREAT.

Sadly this series doesn't include any alternate heads/heads like the Cap/Spidey/Guardians series did... which is disappointing. Imagine if Magneto came with two heads: one with helm, one without? Would be epic.

I want a bunch of those figures pretty badly. Stryfe and Cyclops. I think they missed an opportunity for them to do a Wolverine armored costume from his current de-powered phase.

More like tons of wolverines in stock. What's the point of getting him if he doesn't come with a BAF piece?

Shortest answer is they like to reuse bodies and parts to save money and Wolverine is a sure seller even if lots of people already have multiples of him.

But it's not all bad, because if you don't want Wolverine you simply have the option to skip him since he has no BAF piece. It would be worse if they included a BAF piece with him and lots were forced to buy him that didn't want to

Anyway, I'm interested in buying these but I'm not going to be hunting that hard... the BAF is good but not a must have.

a very nice amazon employee price matched my GotG figures down to 19.99 (from 21.99) with the exception of iron man which is now 18.99 on my order. really thankful to them.

Also did you guys know amazon can do 'personal followups'?
The employee will note your order and the item(s) and if the price changes they will alter the price for you, even if the item does not have a pre-order price guarantee (they will also refund the price difference within 7 days of the item shipping, if the price lowers)

so yeah if the price on Rocket or Nova lowers they will change it for me... pretty nice

Someone really needs to tell Hasbro that Black Bolts costume isn't supposed to be posed that way. His wing things are facing outward
