Is there a "toxicity" in this fandom?
Or specifically this board? I don't think there is at all but I had a very strange discussion today on Facebook.
Where do you guys come down on this? Am I way off?

There's toxicity in any tmnt group/board/forum where there are fans from different tmnt versions

But is that really "toxicity" or is that just... the way it is?

be ready when the 2018 series comes out, I'm sure there are gonna be people who will like this version better then any of the previous version.
its a never ending cycle. |

This community used to be much worse. The last time we have actually had a good times discussing the differences between various TMNT-versions, and which one fans prefer. (I created some during mid-2016, more came from various users)

It can be pretty terrible here, but I'm more bothered by the presentation of the opinion. If ya like something, don't like something, good for you, you've made it known. Some people agree, some people don't, alright, have a cookie.
Wait... you're stating the same thing again in the same topic? Almost verbatim? Without prompt? Why are you complaining about this unrelated thing in this topic? Don't you think you're being a bit of a drama queen by stating that everything you disagree with is "ruining the franchise", no matter how small? Why do you keep visiting threads about things you don't like just to keep sh*tting on them? Like repeatedly over the course of months? Are you really pretending your opinion is law? -These are the things that bother me. Having an opinion is one thing. Disagreeing is totally acceptable. But if you're an adult, you should be behaving as an adult, internet or not.

rudeness, insulting behavior, and down right insanity are the new norm on message boards these days. gone is the way of most conversation, and in it's place is 'I'm right, your stupid if you think I'm wrong and boo on you'..attitude. It's even worse now due to the rise of the insulting SJW and feminist behavior. that's one reason why the Block button is so important. and even that isn't 100% perfect in helping to keep your sanity online these days. |

It's a playground or a prison exercise yard. Find the biggest baddest user, attack him, show you have no fear and that you're crazy.
Then don't be afraid to shiv the guards or the white supremacist gang down in the next cellblock. Or, to return to the playground, analogy, hit the bully who was held back two years in a row with a rock when he tries to take your buddy's retainer.

Wah! My safe space has been infiltrated by people I think are less than me and they demand I be treated as if they're my equals!

Especially considering that TMNT always had a sizable female fanbase. |

Nah, she just appreciates her free time more than some of us do.

i don't actually KNOW know her.
but my interacts with her on that FB Group didn't make a very good impression. i found it very ironic that she of all people should be talking toxicity. guess anyone that doesn't share her similar views must be toxic?

nah,
It's easy to ignore him 85% of the time considering i have him blocked.. only occasionally do I feel the need to fire back when I see one of the endless quoted responses complaining about my opinions and levels of sanity. . It was paradise for two weeks around here a month or so ago with the 'vacation'. I could EASILY put up with that full time. Last edited by Vegita-San; 11-15-2017 at 07:21 PM. |
