I'm gonna assume that it's because this "kid" only watched the 4Kids series and the 2007 movie, not the FW series and the movies. I love how he only has a few views, because it ain't good enough to have more.

He's complaining about Splinter's coloring? "Why isn't he grey?" Maybe because Splinter isn't always grey?

This show killed the Turtles? Who the heck is this moron? It's utter rubbish, but it isn't horrible....right. Isn't saying it rubbish essentially saying it's horrible?

You know...why am I devoting this much of my effort trying to debunk some idiot kid whose only exposure to the TMNT is the 4kids series? His video will probably get 10 total views and a few "Ur rite that sho iz carp!" comments.

So it wasn't bad enough we used to have original toon casuals hating on the 4kids series.

But now we have the kids grown up from the 4kids series hating on the Nick show.

Wonderful. God I'd love to ring their necks.

I am yet to watch the episode (I live abroad) but I am sure it is much better than what this review above says. Judging by the reactions in this thread, this series holds a lot of promise.
He's someone who grew up with 2003 show and doesn't like the new version. He's essentialy just like the viewers of the 80s show were in relation to the '03 version. Surely this was inevitable. It's somewhat gratifying in a way.

wring*

Also, I feel bad saying anything about that kid, but he actually seems mentally challenged. The way he doesn't actually provide any coherent argument, doesn't provide supporting facts for anything (Oh wait, sorry, Splinter is gray), and jumps from point to point quickly and without any form of organization just doesn't seem like someone that is very intelligent.

If that is the worst kind of person that is going to mock or ridicule the show it would be some kind of miracle.

Its amusing to me.

Those little kids who grew up watching the 4kids show are now teenagers...and now to them the Nick show is a, "new version" not like the one they grew up with.

I hope some of them come to this forum, I'd love to, "educate" them about the TMNT franchise.

Is the first episode available online anywhere? Since I don't live in the USA I can't catch it live at Nickelodeon.

Maybe on the Nick site or try YouTube.

As for the sneak peek, I'm really excited for this show. It was awesome. The voices were great, the humor was in the right places (Splinter is hilarious), and the action scenes were spot on as well. I'll have more to say after I watch the two parter.

And there is a discussion thread made on the episode by Machias Banshee. It just won't open until the actual premiere.

I'm getting a good feeling this will go on a long time.

It looked beautiful and even better then the 2007 movie CGI.

Nick just bought it for 65 Million so I think they have to take it as far as it can go.

I grew up with the 4kids series but as a kid i lived by a blockbuster and themanager was a tmnt fan who always let me watched the onld series on vhs. Ive seen all the movies. My favorite turtles are movie 1. In my opinion 2k3 was better than OT. I love this new show but when I first watched this i though. This dosent look like its directed to kids. Dont ask why it just starts very quickly.

I can't believe I never posted my thoughts on this. My bro and I were excited about the premiere. The only thing I can think of was that back then we lived in an apartment with real bad internet and it was easier to work on blogs than it was to check out the Drome.

Here were our thoughts from back in the day, written a few hours after we just saw the hour premiere live.

Honestly, despite how average the game was, Wrath of the Mutants took me back to this.
