The terror bears are from the Ninja turtles RPG I believe. Also the name sounds too much like Care Bears. Even if the name is in reference to something else the design is similar enough to cause copy right infringement.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, during season 2 I think, there was a pic with April and (possibly) all 4 turtles in Shredder's lair. They were gasping at something. Can anybody link me to that and tell me if that was ever in an episode?

Because Fox owns the rights for the X-Men movies, a series people ussually associate with the word mutant, they don't own the word though so they can't do anything to Viacom from using it, they are just trying to cling to the property as best as they can. SONY is more open to let Marvel use Spider-Man, they made a deal with them to let them use him on the Avengers and they'll co-produce a new series of films, but Fox will try to hang on to X-Men as long as they can because $

Aliena, it seems to be based on Super Robot Monkey Hyperforce Go!, which was a show Ciro worked on before coming to the Nick show. It also seems to have elements of Voltron and the Power Rangers.

Mostly, it's based on SRMHG!

Wrong. SRMHG, like Super Mecha Robo Force Five!, was inspired by Voltron. They share the same root of influence.

This is Voltron's human cast, clearly the main inspiration for SMRF's character design:



So, no, it's mostly based on Voltron, if only visually. I haven't watched SRMHG so I can't speak to the similarities of anyone's personality. Their namesakes are similar, though.

At least I was close though. Alright Powder, got it. I thought it was SMHFG! because of Ciro and some of the voice actors being on it. Voltron was my main guess, just thought the producers were referencing a previous show they did. My mistake.

Aliena, I'd listen to Powder on this. It is Voltron.

I have been asking myself two questions lately, which I made some research upon, but couldn't get answers.

1. Are the turtles related by blood ?

2. Are the punk frogs related by blood, or are they brothers only because of the mutagen ?

According to my research, Rasputin is Napoleon's brother. And yet Napoleon did not hesitate to call Rasputin's mom a traitor. If they're brothers, why would Napoleon call his own mother a traitor ?

Usually when it comes to the Turtles as brothers, relationship is clearly specified.

Such as Next Mutation where it's stated that they aren't biologically related even though they call themselves brothers.

Or in the TMNT 2007 seven where Mikey comments that the creature they fought the previous night looked like Donatello's mother. And Donnie responds by saying "That means it looked like your mother too."

Or the concept is never brought into question.


However we have had turtles are related as brothers (Mirage, Image, IDW, 2K3,) turtles that are not related (OT, Next Mutation)

We haven't had nick story where three of the turtles are related and one is not. But the villain twisted enough to be in a plot line like that would be Bishop.

They were never given that much of a backstory. We honestly don't know. All we knew was that they were frogs that despised humans for destroying their forest. Then they got mutated by Mom-thing. That's all the backstory. You should try asking Brandon or Ciro.
