Is there a "toxicity" in this fandom?

To his credit, at least Cubed doesn't insult you too horribly. He just has trouble (or a stubborn refusal) admitting that other people have different opinions than his and his word isn't law.

I was just about to point that out, I may have only been here a short time and so I've only seen a few be nasty/swearing/personally attacking others, however Cubed is not one of them.

As for the thread in general, like others I think it's everywhere. As for this site, again I've not been on here long enough to say for sure, I've seen it but there's also a lot of reasonable discussion too. (can't speak for time past)

Yeah, you missed all that movie drama and craziness. Pretty bad at times, but lets be honest... it could be pretty entertaining, too. At least if you don't try to take it too seriously.


This site is more like a half-grown angry puppy compared to some of the swamp monsters elsewhere on the internet.

Yeah I heard about 2014, just didn't know to what extent it was. Actually when I was browsing TMNT and came across this site it seemd fairly reasonable

TMNT is no different than any other subject. I think there are just toxic people in life. I’m doubt TMNT as a franchise attracts the toxic folks more than any other franchise. If it was a magnet for toxicity then the question I would want to ask is...What about TMNT brings out the worse in people more so than other subjects?

There was this period where pretty much everyone had a "booty" sig, IIRC it started with like only like one or two users, some people with "No Fun allowed" attitude complained which sparked the majority of the forum to change their sigs to booty sigs and it lasted a while. It was fairly funny seeing it all unfold and backfire.

I believe there is "toxicity" over here but its not exclusive to the technodrome forums.

Perhaps toxicity is not the best word, since it really can't harm you unless you let it. I'd say a better word is unpleasantness.

Its ugly, but you can still be happy regardless if you don't make a big deal out of it.

I think these forums are a fun place to hang out. I suppose it is like just about any place, on the internet or a physical location. It is mostly fun, sometimes there is a little nastiness between people to be avoided. Mostly I find the people here helpful and fun to chat with.
