Climate activists invade British Parliament
Climate activists from Extinction Rebellion UK have invaded the British Parliament, and glued themselves together around the Speaker's chair in the House of Commons.
The protesters were arrested by police. The British Parliament is currently on summer break, and intended to open the upcoming week. The Extinction Rebellion was founded in May 2018, and recieved major international publicity by Eastertime in April 2019 when occupying prominent sites in central London. Their activism goes far beyond Greta Thunberg's Fridays for Future movement, with Friday school strikes. While Extinction Rebellion claim to be non-violent, they have been accused for both violence against persons and vandalism against property. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-62767480 Last edited by Original TMNT Cartoon Fan; 09-03-2022 at 03:11 AM. |

No, it was timed to coincide with the voting today for the new Conservative leader, who would thus become PM as a result.

The idiots can hear all about how the vote turned out while in custody. And good luck using a toilet with their hands glued together like that...
