Episode 24: The Old Switcheroo
Written by: Michael Reaves Cast: @ James Avery: Shredder @ Townsend Coleman: Michaelangelo @ Cam Clark: Leonardo, Rocksteady @ Jennifer Darling: Irma @ Pat Fraley: Krang, Burne Thompson @ Barry Gordon: Donatello, Bebop @ Renae Jacobs: April O’Neil @ Rob Paulsen: Raphael @ Peter Renaday: Splinter, Vernon Fenwick Mistakes: 1. Donatello and Leonardo are seen picking up Splinter, but when we cut to a close up, it’s Leonardo and Raphael. 2. Bebop and Rocksteady blast a hole in the roof to escape, but are seen coming out of a ground level door. 3. When Rocksteady says, ”That rat.” His mouth doesn’t move. 4. When The Turtles help Splinter to the Van, Donatello and Michaelangelo’s gear is flip-flopped. 5. Rocksteady is the one prodding Shredder to hurry into the module, but Shredder replies to the prodding by calling him “Hog breathe.” 6. After whipping the Turtle’s shells, Splinter talks with Shredder’s voice, where earlier he only “thought” in Shredder’s voice. 7. Krang’s android body has an extra bit of yellow when he tells Shredder/Splinter he has no time to talk about mind transference. 8. The Turtles don’t seem to recognize the Transport Module, and this is the 6th episode they’ve been in. 9. The necklace Bebop wears is mostly black when he comes out of the Module. Pizza References: 1. Donatello makes a Super Fast Pizza Maker 2. The Turtles and Shredder/Splinter munch some pizza lunch. 3. Pizza is a perfect test to see if Splinter is Splinter. Catchphrase Countdown: 1. Raphael calls Shredder “Can-Head”. 2. Shredder calls the Punks “Mutant Morons”. 3. Donatello calls Shredder “Tin Grin”. 4. Michaelangelo calls Rocksteady, “Horn Head.” Wacky Inventions: 1. Super Fast Pizza Maker 2. Mind Swapping Machine 3. Krang’s Brain Wave Scanner Forth Wall Breaking Humor: 1. Leonardo says, seemingly to the audience, that he never thought he’d be shaking hands with Shredder. 2. Donatello tells the audience he thinks Michaelangelo has watched to many kung-fu movies.

Are these on a web-site, or are you just putting them here?

Just here, for right now. I plan on putting them on a TMNT dedicated Wikipedia site, and Krang has even said he'd host it on the main page.

Episode 25: Burne’s Blues
Story by: Bill Wolf Written by: Gordon Bressack Cast: @ James Avery: Shredder @ Townsend Coleman: Michaelangelo, Radio DJ, @ Cam Clark: Leonardo, Rocksteady, Crook 2 @ Jennifer Darling: Irma, Alien Elvis Clone 2 @ Pat Fraley: Krang, Burne Thompson, Wolfgang Plink @ Barry Gordon: Donatello, Bebop, Crook 1 @ Renae Jacobs: April O’Neil, Alien Elvis Clone 1 @ Rob Paulsen: Raphael, Spy in Trench Coat @ Peter Renaday: Splinter, Vernon Fenwick, Don Turtelli Mistakes: 1. Burne’s press pass disappears after it’s placed in the band of his fedora. 2. Shredder’s communicator changes color while he talks to Krang about Nutrifreeze. 3. Burne’s clothes change colors to match Turtelli’s when he confronts Burne and Vernon. 4. The Turtles are hanging on to the module from bottom to top, Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo, Donatello. In one scene, Leonardo is “below” Donatello, and Michaelangelo and Raphael shift “down” to compensate. 5. The Turtle’s ropes change colors (sometimes brown, sometimes white, and sometimes grey) as they hold on to the module. Pizza References: 1. Nothing beats the heat, in Michaelangelo’s opinion, like a steaming pizza. 2. The Turtles meet a pizza they don’t like, Tofu and Fresh Shrimp, though it is due to spoiled ingredients. 3. Plink, thanks to the Turtles using pizzas to trash the Crooks, creates an Anchovy and Chocolate Fudge pizza. 4. Irma asks if Burne means the story or the pizza lacked key ingredients. She also says it had everything: “Pathos, Passion, and Pepperoni.” 5. The Turtles eat pizza while Burne raves about Alien Elvis Clones. Catchphrase Countdown: 1. Shredder calls the Mutants “imbeciles.” 2. Shredder, as Michaelangelo, says, “Chill out, dudes.” 3. Michaelangelo screams, “Cowabunga!” as the Turtles race to save April. 4. Michaelangelo says, “Cowabunga, companeros,” as he and the Turtles hitch a ride on Shredder’s module. Pop Culture References: 1. The pizza chief Wolfgang Plink is a parody of renowned chief Wolfgang Puck. Raphael calls him the “Picasso of Pizza.” 2. The Crooks comment on the Turtles disguises asking them if they are returning to Casablanca, a reference to Bogart. 3. When Michaelangelo is exposed to the Nutrifreeze, he says he feels like Frosty the Snow-Turtle. 4. Burne and Vernon are captured by Alien Elvis Clones. Wacky Inventions: 1. Nutrifreeze Forth Wall Breaking Humor: 1. Shredder comments on April’s atrocious dialogue after she says, “You’ll never get away with this, Shredder.” 2. Raphael asks, “Who says there’s nothing funny on television?” to the audience. Notables: 1. The Don Turtelli that appears in this episode is different from the Turtelli that appears later in the series.

You're at the home-stretch. Only 167 eps left to go. You can do it, Jester!

Considering April admitted to winking at Splinter earlier in the series, this particular term of endearment is all kinds of creepy.

Sorry to break up the great reference list here but I figure the master here would have an answer. What, if any, episode is Ace Duck in?

I think its some episode in season 2 or early season 3, Mike is watching an "Ace Duck Marathon" on TV. He wasn't a real character.

Nice listing, it's funny to read how many strange mistakes they made.
This one though is my favorite so far and really makes me wonder how much lsd the artists took a day ("catwoman from channel six"): Quote:

This is SOO cool! I have to take the time to go through your listings cuz they're huge! I was actually wishing this was going on before as I was re-watching all the episodes. I actually started making notes because I was mainly interested in those little stings to the toy line like what was just posted about Ace Duck. Which gets mentioned by Mike when he is on the TV.
I love spotting the accessories and strange characters like the plunge gun and army tubes. Even that blue thing that came with sewer swimmin don. I'm not sure if you are including any references to the toy line, but I love that part of it. I love how they make small attempts to justify the toys by nodding to the toys in like one scene in the show. Way to go man!! Keep it up. |

This is totally awesome!! I've been watching season 4 and my and my brothers like to pick out mistakes.
I love how you put the voices in there too. I've been wondering who does who's voice.

Were there ever triceratons in the old toon? I know there was a 1990 toy which seems to be extremely close to the comic book.

Yes. The Triceratons appear in the episode "Night of the Dark Turtle."

Indeed. About as lame as this project has become. I need to get back at it, but time is not on my side.

wow Jester, nice work. You should ask Krang and Shredder to put up a section to the website with all of your work, it's great!
