Mark Hammil really underwent a transformation in the last few years
Mark Hammil from a couple years ago:
Mark Hammil now: He went from looking like a washed out old slob to actually getting back into shape and now he looks extremely good for his age. Its hard to believe that these two pics are of the same person and they're only a few years apart. My god, think if Mark Hammil always kept in shape? So glad to see he looks good again because he was looking terrible in the 90's and 2000's. |

It was more in the middle of the 2000s he kind of stopped caring about his health a bit. He probably said to himself, "Well, sh*t, I'm 60, no one's really knocking down my door to star in any more movies. And it's not like I'm ever going to play Luke Skywalker again. Wait, what? I am?? Oh sh*t..." and had to scramble about it.

He also did a semi-comeback in Kingsman but with a British accent.

Come to think of it I don't think I've ever watched anything Mark Hammil is in outside of Star Wars and his voices for cartoons like The Joker in B:TAS.
Are there any other good movies with him worth watching? |

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...50-pounds.html Here is your answer to Hamill's physical transformation. Powder is right. Around the time of Revenge of the Sith and he did minor press related to it and shopped the idea of Luke turning to the darkside he was like Cat-Man, but it lasted only a couple of years before he got back in shape. Perhaps it was partially due to most of his work being VA opposed to being on screen. A fat slob with his best years behind him of being known for little in 2001. Spoiler:
He found himself and got into shape amongst a pack of lions and went badass by 2005. Spoiler:

Here's both Mark and Carrie Fisher:
Goddamn, they both look about 10 years younger now. Harrison Ford aged the best out of all of them (which is surprising since he's also a good 10 years old than them), but now Luke/Leia look much better. Its hard to believe how much they let themselves go. Thank god this movie came out and they got trainers to whip them back into shape. Carrie Fisher even confirmed they told her she had to lose 10lbs for the movie. |

Because Hollywood icons like Luke and Leia losing weight is serious business.

I've been seeing ads for it everyday for like 2 months now. Even telecommunications operators and supermarkets are using Darth Vader's and light sabers imagery to promote their products. Not to mention all my FB friends posting SW memes and such everyday. I personally don't care about SW other than the 3 classic movies, though. And haven't watched those in over a decade.
