I'm using this post as a placeholder for when I'm more awake, and to let you know I read the post. I'll respond tomorrow when I'm in my right mind. It's been a very long day.

Maybe someone here can help with this...

The laptop I use (I don't actually own a computer of my own but my roomates let me use theirs) suddenly started having problems with loading ANY page that asks for "security information" such as e-mail and things. We even tried turning the security OFF for a minute and seeing if that helped but it says "page can not be displayed" I tried to download a different browser. We usually use Internet Explorer for Windows so I tried to get Netscape I downloaded it fine but when I tried to use it I got some weird permission error or something. I know very little about computers so I am really not sure of any way to fix or work around this issue. Any ideas?

When you try to use Netscape, what does the error message say? If it allows you to copy it, please paste it here. Also, which version of Netscape are you using? To find out, click Help at the top, then click About.

My friend had to format her hard drive (viruses, apparently), but something went terribly wrong and she just can't install Windows anymore. Error in line 0, hivedef.inf file, as she puts it.

Can anything be done with that?

Could be a corrupted disc. My Windows XP CD doesn't work too well anymore, and sometimes refuses to install, so I have to restart and try again. She may have the same problem. If she could get her hands on another disc, you could confirm that.

I'll check later and type the message out here by hand if I need to. I'd check now but I can't. The laptop isn't here right now. ^_^'

Okay, what? I can't figure out how this happened or how to fix it.

What exactly is the problem? It might help if we knew that. I'm assuming Spider-Man is your wallpaper. And you want ot listen to that song by the Comeback Kid using Winamp.

... I seriously can't see anything wrong on this picture.

The main window of Winamp is huge, and not resizable in such a way.

I believe one of the panels is ridiculously huge in comparison to the other...

... quitting the program and re-launching it wouldn't help?

I love those parody Spider-Man comics. Anyway, I'd try changing your Winamp skin to the modern one and see what happens. You can always try uninstall/reinstall and see what happens.

I changed it to the modern skin and it looks fine, but the classic one still is messed up when I change it back. I can live with it, but I'm curious why it's doing this..

I don't know, I've never heard of it happening before. That is so odd. And by the way, welcome back Hannah.

If other skins work fine, it's probably the skin in question that's messed up. Try redownloading it.

Also, you now owe it to us to post a link to those Spider-Man comics. I haven't seen them in ages. FAPPO!

You probably enabled "Double Size" by accident. Try pressing Ctrl+D.

Audio Editing Software/Knowledge?

I'm not sure if this belongs here, or in the New TMNT Movie discussion.... I'm wondering if anyone knows what kind of software to use, or how to go about, separating out the voiceover commentary from the rest of the audio in the deleted scenes on the new dvd. I just want to hear what they're saying without interruption from the commentary, and since there's no option to turn it off, I figured there must be someone out there who understands these things better than I do and has thought about how to get rid of it..... Any ideas?
