Yeah i didn't think i'd ever find it...it'll probably become one of my most treasured toys in my small but humble collection!

PS: i realized why all figures i purchased in january & february are not being processed & classified:

http://www.taringa.net/comunidades/d...nero-2014.html

Starting january 20th, there is a new resolution from the government to hold ALL packages arriving, nothing is being delivered yet...
I lucked out with the saint seiya figure since it arrived before the 20th...but i've no idea when they'll free my stuff as it all arrived after the 20th.
That's 4, (soon 5) sailor moon figures, & the 6 g.i joe figures...

That's $103 worth of plastic stuck in bureaucratic limbo =w= way to go argentina, that'll surely help fix our economy.

($163 if you count this: http://dx.com/p/ruiq-bm-c6000-4-3-an...tf-blue-239402 but that, i'll actually have to pay taxes for sure =w= i dunno HOW yet...)

I'm also a bit frustrated at not being able to continue my old ninja turtle figure collection:
http://www.tmnttoys.com/88figures/series1.html
I'd like to eventually get splinter & the foot soldier, no matter how long i need to save up (i got bebop, but it fell & now there's a small crack & missing piece of plastic below his chin, so maybe, replace that too...)

But the prices are a little out of my range...
Splinter is around $20 shipped to argentina (with his robe & belt) x.x,

I needed some variety in my collection too...some mario, sailor moon, dragon ball, saint seiya, g.i joe, toy story...as much as i love tmnt...so that also kept me from getting more.

& sellers in 'mercadolibre argentina' are grossly overpricing old, loose & common figures, like TMNT & MOTU (anywhere from $15 to $35 USD, without shipping)
I believe they're overvaluing them a little, they may have a misconception as to what their collectible value is.
I used to get these for under $10 usd 2 years ago, so i'd rather not encourage their behaviour by buying them (not that i have the money anyway ^^')

I wish there were more swap meets & flea markets like in the U.S.A., over here:

I spotted a 'mighty duck', ghostbuster, 2k3 foot soldier, biker mouse,silverhawk...would that cost $50 instead of $5 here?

Thank you!

I just remembered i never posted my old digimon 'tolas' & wanted to show you guys it:

http://i62.tinypic.com/20t54zo.jpg

They're from my childhood/early teens & came in the PepsiCo snacks packages they're kinda like those "gogo's crazy bones" things: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gogo%27s_Crazy_Bones
Except i don't care much for those, just these since they're digimon related:
http://pepsicosnacksargentina.blogsp...mon-tolas.html
I was happy to see them again...

Anyway...i took a last picture of my humble 'collection', now it's at like...74 u.s retail toys... (This is counting action figures sold in U.S Stores only, no cereal box/happy meal/misc toys...counting asian/latin america figures, it's more like 80 figures [think japanese/korean sailor venus, "sofubi" son goku, "capcom queen"'s cammy, "sofubi" masked rider...even color variations of ones sold in the U.S. like the japanese/korean knights of the zodiac andromeda which is pink instead of red, argentina's JOCSA's egon which is just kenner's with a white & red paint job...the japanese donkey kong, which has a different facial expression than the one popco & goldie chose to import to the us...that sorta stuff...]) and i wanted to post it here:

(closeup view of the right side)
http://i59.tinypic.com/21pi7k.jpg

(Non-u.s, but officially licensed toys)
http://i61.tinypic.com/2a6p4k5.jpg

(happy meal/burger king, cereal, gashapon & misc toys...and i got a troll doll but i forgot to take a picture lol, got him in the picture with the digimon thingies instead...)
http://i61.tinypic.com/339kiso.jpg
http://i62.tinypic.com/fmnnb.jpg
http://i61.tinypic.com/25tb8g3.jpg

here's 2012, started out with 19 action figures:

2013 was pretty much this, but add mordecai and applejack...50 u.s retail action figures total:

I got some V.R Troopers figures! ('Kaitlin Star' & 'JB Reese' with the VR Fighter bike, according to figure realm: http://www.figurerealm.com/actionfig...=vrfighterbike )

I remember VR Troopers being one of the tokusatsu shows aired alongside Masked Rider & Power rangers but i couldn't really recall much of it, let alone their names so i had to look them up lol

The bike can spread its' turbines/wings out, and it shoots the little yellow arrow by pressing the button on top of it:

http://i61.tinypic.com/2uf55rt.jpg

The kaitlin figure came with a backpack & 2 boomerangs, you can put the boomerangs on it and it'll catapult 'em when you pull back & let go of the back of it, as seen here: http://www.figurerealm.com/actionfig...echkaitlinstar

Fun stuff & another series down memory lane i can jot off the action figures to get list i guess.

Thank you guys i'm glad you enjoy 'em!
I can't get figures as frequently anymore but when i do it's usually the highlight of my day, so i'm always happy to log in and post my new finds

It's not set in stone but i'm hoping to get a few more next month most of the money now goes towards digital download games unfortunately because of the new import laws not letting me use paypal for figures or physical items, but my friend sometimes sends in cash instead and then i can buy figures locally...that's how i got the ones from last month

I figured since a year passed i'd post an updated picture of the whole collection...i'm happy that it got this far, and that i was able to get a little bit of everything ever since i started out.

PS: i found out a bit more about these toys, firstly, turns out the bike's turbines spin around which is kinda neat x'D

2nd thing, the 2nd figure had 'laser eyes' which at first i assumed used some kinda battery that had long since died to light up the eyes...

Here's how it works:
There was no button anywhere and i noticed the back of the head is also translucent, so i found that when you put it below a light tube or any light source it refracts the light or something and the eyes kinda 'glow' or light up!

I've got a Hulk Hogan figure! i'm not that big on wrestling, i'm more into cartoons, movies & games related stuff, but he was a pretty iconic wrestler and it seemed like the best choice on the store that i could afford at the moment n.n, (I was lucky enough to sell a printer cartridge that wasn't compatible with my current one and get this...hopefully if i get a commission's money i'm waiting sometime soon i can go back and check what else is there.)

His arm's got a spring-back action feature so he can slap the snot out of people...fun.

(I looked it up and it was originally a 'gorilla press'...but...it's been fixed u.u, only the left arm does that...i didn't know that before buying it...oh well.)

Bit of a rant here, but i needed a place to talk about it n.n, hope you guys don't mind.
Well...the thing is, i'm interested in action figures from the U.S retail toy stores mostly.
My goal in the long run is to reach the 100 figure mark (which is why i'm sometimes concerned about where it comes from, and its condition, a little too much)

Well, I found out 'russ' & 'play along' are both U.S companies!

'play along' Cheer bear:
http://i61.tinypic.com/33yowhj.jpg
http://i59.tinypic.com/oa3aqv.jpg

'russ' troll:
http://i58.tinypic.com/x3ij2g.jpg

So i added em to my 'us figure collection' and removed toxie and throttle in place of 'em, to display them in their respective bikes
Now i've a total of 75 u.s retail, non-damaged/non-repaired (that is, good condition) figures on my main shelf...

Then there's my repaired/non-optimal figures, toxie & throttle (both their heads are glued in place but are otherwise ok) and brain from thunderbirds (has a glued arm)
Others are very slight but still not counting towards my collection (Jem's toes are damaged...weird, but the doll is in great condition otherwise) wingnut (the tip of his finger seems damaged but is in otherwise great condition)
The silverhawks figure is an exception 'cus i really want a silverhawks figure in my collection =w=, and i mean the figure seems to be very well repaired, he did a very good job and all articulation is retained, however...a thumb is snapped off... =w=; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdwCHFryLuM it's the one thing, i can never fix..'s all good...i'm not buying anything else from this online seller for this reason as he never told me about the condition of the figure beforehand tho... (and his prices are horrible now anyway)
The hulk hogan figure kinda falls into this category?maybe?sort of?I mean it retains articulation on his right arm and the snap back function on the left...so...i don't know...in the end it's just a cool toy i guess...

So yeah, not really part of my "collection" per se anymore and maybe i'm getting too OCD here, but who cares, they're still cool to display & you can play with em just fine 'cept maybe for brain.

Thanks man
I got the 'moving soldier' version of andromeda saint from saint seiya today...
It's about the same size as my andromeda gashapon...
I also spotted a 'Smoke' figure for like $50 arg. pesos, which is pretty cheap, plus i've wanted one of these mortal kombat klassic figures for a while, even tho i don't care much for smoke...i'd rather have sub-zero or scorpion, but it's still cool to have...

I've to say, the quality on the mortal kombat figure is absolutely horrible...the paintjob's all sloppy and haphazard, the quality of the plastic feels cheap, his friggin' forearm came off =w=, a g.i joe, this is not...it's sad when a happy meal toy has better build quality than something you'd get from a proper toy store...jazwares is kinda hit or miss on the quality control of their toys it seems, i've 3 other of their figures and they all have some sort of factory error or seem as if they would break at the articulation points without much problem, but generally, they're fine, the sculpts & paintjobs are good, plastic's fine...this one tho, it's awful, it's like they weren't even trying.

The vintage toy store owner was having a discount sale and a lot of these toys were $10 ARG pesos each (that's less than a dollar) so these are the ones i picked ( n.n,)
Only light-up applejack was like $20 but it's still pretty cheap...& he told me i could have another one for free (* uwu*) i picked the pokemon one...

Here's a better shot of the andromeda minifigure...i never had one with his 'asgard saga' Cloth (Save for a crappy bootleg one...)
It's about the same size as the classic cloth gashapon i got last year..:
But it's a bit flashier, because of the paint job...

Yeah i didn't like that figure very much tho, & ended up giving it to my brother for christmas, since he likes mortal kombat, so i no longer have it.

Today i got an Inspector Gadget burger king toy!

http://i61.tinypic.com/5ff140.jpg

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rg_pbLTKz8c

It's one of my most sought after toys:

His leg and neck extend 'w' #WhyIsTheFlashRed #INeedToCutMyF@ck$ngFingernails

I'm so happy with it i'm glad to finally have an Inspector Gadget toy!!

My 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Raph figure arrived! ^^

It seems the original, legitimate 'Playmates Toys' version from U.S.A is not as popular with local sellers as those stupid chinese imitations,
so i had to track down a seller listing it as such: http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/...n-original-_JM
(and cross my fingers and pray the bootleg version is not sent in its place since the listing only had stock photos)

I'm glad...i wanted one of these since a few years but then importing to the country got severely restricted.

Thanks i am soooo happy with it!
I wasn't as crazy about it until i actually got my hands on it in real life...
It's just such a cool figure for a 'basic' line...the sculpt is really detailed and the overall design gives off this really badass mirage tmnt vibe even though it's supposed to be based on the nickelodeon 2k12 toon...they kept the overall bodyshape of the nick turtles, sure, but it's not as noticeable except maybe for the legs, and because of all the gritty little details, like scuff marks, toned muscles and skin texture there's this feeling of a 'throwback' to the serious tmnt it's just a really cool looking toy overall and i think an improvement on their cartoon design, much more interesting looking than if they'd gone a completely toon-accurate route (Which, if it is an issue to you, you can probably get the "battle shell" figures which i think resemble the cartoon counterparts closer...i grew up with the old playmate figures and so this is what i like about their old sculpts and am happy to see it in their new products, the cartoon design is cute, but a little plain, but it's all up to personal taste really.)

That aside, i'm also pretty happy with the increase in articulation points, it seems with every generation, the TMNT basic lineup one-ups the older gen figures, just like the 2003 figures adding shoulder swivel and hinge articulation at the time, these retain all of the articulation points of the 2k3 line, and also add hinges to the elbow and, more interestingly since neither the '88 or 2k3 basic line featured this, knee hinge/swivel articulation!!
Oh and ball-joint neck, now your turtle can look up and down and all around.

I am super satisfied with it (* n.n*) i'll post a buncha pics of it later on when my camera's battery is finally charged, altho i'm sure most of the forum's already familiar with it by now.

Unfortunately i can only afford 1 n.n, because they are nearly 20 dollars, and i paid 7 dollars for the 88/2k3 figures back in the day which is why i could afford several of them...

Who wants to pay 80 bucks for 4 plastic toys? x.x, No thank you, "scalper" scumbag.

But still, even if it's just one, it's a damn good one!

(although for this one, i sold 2 broken figures for $100 ARS pesos so the total cost to buy this 2k12 raph was $200 ARS...probably cheaper than having imported it from u.s.a in the first place if we're to take into account shipping of a fully carded figure n.n, it also helps that this seller is not gouging prices too much for most toys and keeps it reasonable [except for leonardo which i suppose is the 'best seller'])

You can even get it at $229 from another seller, but he's out of raphs...so overall, the prices are quite OK, to my surprise.

Now i ordered "Classic Collection" Leonardo: http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/...cm-en-caja-_JM

It should arrive early next month, i'll keep you guys posted!
