2022 will be the first year where 3 IDW collections are published
IDW 01 PB - Feb 2022 IDW 14 HC - Jul 2022 IDW 02 PB - Nov 2022 I'm hoping this continues, meaning two paperbacks a year. I prefer them over the hardcover edition. I just did a hands on comparison today. |

Ah that makes sense. Wasn't 8 released January 2019 though (same year as 9)?

With that in mind, - The hardcover edition of volume 1 is a third heavier, 3.29 vs. 2.2 pounds. I can feel the difference, especially as the edges of the HC’s cardboard digs into my ribs. - The hardcover edition is about an inch taller, 11.13 vs. 10.25 inches. While that may not seem like much, it’s the difference between me having to lean forward to read the top of a page or not. - In terms of page turning. For hardcover I have to support the bottom of the book with my right hand, then bring my left hand across to turn the page. Something like this. For paperback my right hand grips the book in such a way that all I have to do is move my thumb slightly and the page flips over. While I value both, I prioritize how a book feels when reading over how a book looks on a shelf. I've had both versions all week and tested them thoroughly, and in the end I preferred the paperback. |

That would be correct for two reasons; the mini series is being published by BOOM and it doesn't feature the IDW Turtles.

It is. But that’s because idw has the comic rights. Doesn’t mean it’s part of the IDW canon.

Volume 14 has maintained a pretty good spot on the graphic novel best seller list over last couple weeks.
May have gotten a boost from The Last Ronin hype, but 14 volumes in, I’m not so sure. Seems the book is selling pretty well, haters be damned. I haven’t read since around #103, so I can’t really speak to the book’s current quality. |

When do you think we will be able to start preordering volume 15?

Am I the only one annoyed by the fact that the hard cover of 'The Last Ronin' is not precisely the same size as the TNMT IDW collection? -_-''

It had to be bigger because the individual issues are oversized compared to the regular comics; if they tried to shrink it for a hc book it would result in a loss of detail to the images and make the whole thing harder to read.

I can understand that, but the sizes of the books differ by a matter of a few millimetres. Like they barely differ, but it is enough to actually be noticeable

Not yet. I'm keeping close eye on PRH where it's usually spotted first.
I also spoke with Sophie last week and she's heard nothing since handing over the cover art in the summer.
