The Retrocatapult, Pizza Thrower, Turtle Battle Fun Sets, and Krang action figures can all be seen. I think their footage was shot in Toys “R” Us.

Was saddened to see the images on the first page to be gone. I am starting to collect photos and videos that document this period of turtle mania so I'm curious about what pictures are no longer available!

Also wow I wish people would STOP using photobucket. seriously the worst image host out there, and there are lots of other free ones to choose from. Those awful awful HUGE watermarks, ugh. Disgusting.

I went ahead and edited my post from page 6 with a new link to the image. I think I had it on Photobucket before it was awful.

I worked at the now defunct Payless in the 80's, and they carried TMTN.
No pictures of course; no ubiquitous cell-phone cameras at the time, and store shelves are pretty boring to teenagers.

Both Payless and Kids R Us carried TMNT products from the tip end of the 80s into the 90s.

Here is another news story from 1990:

Donatello was everyone’s favorite in the early 90s. The media made the mistake of believing that Michelangelo was the turtle that children of the 80s and 90s loved. The original series one Donatello was the hardest to find in the early 90s after the movie came out.

Interesting. So why did Donatello never get as many variants as the othe three for the 2012 line? It was so strange to see him left out.

I think Raphael was the best selling turtle out of all four of them for the 2012 line. Perhaps it had something to do with the head sculpt for the first series Raphael from the 2012 line. I’m not entirely sure why Playmates left Donatello out for some of the 2012 variant waves. I agree that it was odd to see Donatello left out of a few of the variant waves of 2012 line.

A 1990 K-Mart display for TMNT from around the time of the movie can be seen at the 40:23 mark in The Toys That Made Us TMNT episode on Netflix.

Here is a video of the Time Square Toys R Us from November 27th of 1991:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZilFWy...ture=emb_title

The Technodrome and Sewer Playset appear at 10:39.

The Headdroppin’ TMNT are labeled as “Wacky Action TMNT” at 11:22

Lastly, at 11:51, you can see the 6th and 7th basic wave figures mixed in with the latest turtle variants.

Enjoy!

The late 80's early 90's was a great time to be a TMNT fan. Literally, whole isles filled with TMNT.
