IS covid being over rated now?

just like the flu, it'll always be around. it's not a death sentence.

if you loose your taste and smell, apparently it comes back I've heard.

So, why worry about it so much? People don't worry about the flu this much, and I 've ALWAYS thought people over reacted when Covid first came out.

I only wear a mask inside a store when I have to, AND I have a comprimised immune system, and i'm perfectly fine.

Of course, I also have OCD, so I social distance even before it's popular and clean things like crazy. so that might help.

The taste and smell are just harmless temporary symptoms. A lot of respiratory viruses do that. But they don't usually leave some people with lung damage the way Covid has even for some otherwise healthy people who got through it okay at home. So what happens when someone then gets the flu or some other nasty virus later and their lungs can't handle it anymore and they end up with pneumonia?

Or they end up losing their job or having to quit because their work was labor intensive or rather physically active and lung issues leaves them no longer able to handle it at all or cuts their productivity to the point their company gets rid of them? I mean, there's all kinds of reasons why it could really suck for a person, even if the sense of smell is just a harmless side effect of being ill in the first place.

Fortunately, recent articles seem to report less lung damage caused by Omicron. If it could just stay this or similar weaker strains that would be great. Though it could always manage to mutate another strong one out of it (or what remains of Delta), so not caring if the weaker Omicron spreads like mad is still kind of playing with fire... So I'm going with no, not overrated.

You might be perfectly fine, but a lot of people have also said that until they weren't. At least your OCD made itself useful.

Its very overrated and the long term effects of the still ongoing fear tactics means it never goes away... too easy to make the world population afraid & control some of them. Covid was never that big a problem, it was the response from the start thats been wrong & caused the most damage.

To be honest I haven't heard any numbers of people that ended up with perma-damage after surviving CoVid. Only person I know that had any lasting damage was someone who had ****ed up lungs as is due to being a heavy smoker. But everyone else I know have recovered from CoVid with nothing left but a bad memory, and these are people of different age groups, different body types, some even being immuno-compromised, and nothing.

Same here. A LOT of people from my family and friends got covid from age 30 to 74 and ALL recovered with no after effects whatsoever.

Now was it a pleasant experience? No sir, but nobody died.

So to answer your question, Vegita-San: hell YES it's overrated.

That's the thing that keeps a lot of this fear porn stuff at bay, at least for the people that can actually think for themselves.

By now most everyone either has gotten CoVid or knows a friend, family member or co-worker that has already had it. Now sure, some unfortunately don't survive, but we never the details, were they super old, super obese, super diabetic, like what else is going on?

The more and more people know people that have had CoVid and well... nothing of note happened, the more the nonstop CNN fear porn looks like a bunch of crap. Similar to now the more and more people we know that got double and even tripled jabbed STILL got hit hard by CoVid, it reveals more and more about this 'vaccine' by the day.

The lies and exxagerations aren't working anymore.
