New weekly interviews with the creative team.

Bullet points from the first three editions:

No plans for a second run of TMNT BW&G
Mutant Nation will take on a more anthology style later this year

Alopex will be returning but not until the first year of the relaunch is wrapped up
There are more crossovers with other IPs planned

Issue #8 will give us an idea of what Hale's plans are and what Karai has been up to.

Thomas Frederickson might be Alopex's hero,lol. Asking the real questions.

I'm glad they got a good grasp of plans, though. Looking forward to seeing where things go from here on end.

I guess Splinter contacting the Turtles from the afterlife will be happening, and I'm kinda surprised they held out on it for all 50 issues of Sophie's run. We know the afterlife exists in IDW as we've seen Shredder in hell, Tang Shen and Yoshi as ghosts, etc.

But Splinter talking to the Turtles Obi-Wan Kenobi style as a ghost hasn't been done yet. Seems like it's starting through that small rat Don is holding but he'll probably go full force ghost at some point.

The videogame Splinter's fate, while Splinter is technically not dead, uses a similar concept. My guess is they are going to go down a similar route.

Nice to see Alopex isn't forgotten... sort of. Still not really sold on the "back to basics" idea with the relaunch. It just feels like a path already tread too many times. Part of me kinda dreads what sort of state she'll arrive in.

-All the men in my life hurt me, so now I'm some sort of femme fatale feminist "badass" who rejects any further development from the turtles? (Please no)
-Arbitrary villain arc using the weasels as her new clan? (Kinda predictable)
-Returns in some kind of fashion as an ally and rebuilds relationship with Raph, only to then get sidelined as a character again? (Meh)

Frankly, there's a lot of ways her return can go wrong. I would like her have a degree of separation of the Turtles that allow her to be her own entity. Maybe she and her clan are the "good guys" that take things too far and have no problem killing their enemies. The "Red Hood" to the Turtles' "Batman". That could possibly be interesting. I'd like to see some kind of return to a relationship with Raph; maybe a begrudging "I still have feelings for you but I hate what you're doing" kind of thing. I'd hate it if they both just went cold turkey after so much buildup in the comics.

Also get rid of the pink mask and go back to purple or blue. The pink is just... too much. Too obvious. Too... Sophie.

But why is Donnie the only one who could sense that? Leo should have noticed it right away.

I think Alopex and Raph's relationship should end. They both deserve better. Let Alopex never give up on her goal of revenge on Shredder.

I think the comic always wanted to establish something important between Raph, Alopex and Casey Jones. I think the dynamic should stick, but keep Raph trying to balance his life between Alopex and Casey Jones was clued in since Raph's Macro series. I'm just not sure what the IDW endgame is suppose to be. I doubt Raph would just settle down in the end.

Thank god Nightwatcher is ending with the 7th issue. I hope it gets replaced with something focused on more interesting characters.

I honestly wonder if Nightwatcher was intended to be ongoing for awhile but they canceled it. It doesn't seem like Jennika will be used in the main ongoing anytime soon so she probably has no place to appear in for the time being. The series ending is a good thing.
