How Mutant Mayhem will deal with the Utroms?

Alright, so we know there is a character named Cynthia Utrom in this movie and we know from leaks that she is the scientist working on the ooze. What we don't know is if this character is indeed an octopus alien merely posing as a human, in the leaks everyone seems to think she's a human and she lives in an apartment with seemingly no oddities in it. Granted, these leaks paint an incomplete picture of the movie and it's still possible that she will indeed be revealed as an alien.

So, which do you think it is? Is she an actual Utrom or is the name just a reference?

Oh surly with that name she's an alien in disguise? Have avoided looking just to avoid knowing too much, but have definitely been picturing something a bit like 2012 Irma.
