Definitely preferred the first film over the sequel. Doesn’t help that the Goon Squad had 0 personality (which the monstars had some) and the whole “style point” system felt so arbitrary and vague that there wasn’t really any stakes. So the goon squad was up by 800 points. So what? I do two stylish shots into the basket and I’m caught up.

At least for the first movie it was simple basketball rules that was broken by the sheer powers of the monstars and the looney of the tunes.

And Lola does less in this film than she did in the first. Sure, she had the Wonderwoman scene, but after that? Nothing.

Aw, that's a shame. Her and the Superman cameo are like the only things I give a sh*t about seeing.

So I've heard! I read about the whole gag leading into it on the Superman page. Seems like a whole lotta nothing.

I'll be honest, the whole thing just comes off like it should've been called "Space Jam 2: Please Subscribe to HBO Max (Look At All The Cool Sh*t We Own!)"

For a sequel idea, though I don’t think Basket Ball would be a good idea a third time in a row, should be about a kid that gets trapped into the looney tunes world and where he is stuck and grows up there. Really dig into the Isekai genre.

SUPPOSEDLY the sequel they were talking about last week at the water cooler involved getting the Rock to star and switching gears from basketball to wrestling.

I guess they'd change the name to "Space Slam", in that case.

It would be terrible no matter what though so it really doesn't matter what they call it.

They're like 20 + years behind on that....remember the YTMND Randy Savage "come on and slam" memes?

In this one, Lola will be the first toon to ever transition. They'll be known as Larry now.

I'm sure you could find a clip on YouTube. It was one of the few scenes in the movie that was mildly entertaining, especially if you're a DCAU fan.

Sums up the movie perfectly. The original wasn't amazing but a product of it's time. Fun for what it was. This one was what you expected. It was also needlessly long.

Surprised we still haven't heard Wildcat's thoughts. Nor Shark Blade or Tigerclaw's.

The director would like to make the next one wrestling-themed and feature Dwayne Johnson
