The only real drawback to losing a copyright is when the original creators can't keep control, but as Eastman & Laird already chose to pass the property on, and the expiration is a long ways off that's not really an issue here. |

Looks like this may be finally happening? Several sites are listing a Feb 28, 2023 release now.

I missed volume 4 and 6 in hardcover. Are these just impossible to find now?

It's real! I received it this past Tuesday.
Kevin also has copies listed on his website. |

Can't make this up. I had my Amazon pre-order for 5 YEARS on this book! Now, my preorder just went from coming Feb 28th to "not available, we'll let you know when it becomes available". LOL.
Cancelled my Amazon preorder and ordered elsewhere. Looks like when I got Volume 6 from Amazon back in 2015, it took them 3 tries to get me a copy that wasn't destroyed in transit anyways. And 4 tries on the Visual History book before that! Ordered elsewhere! |

Yeah, I remember wanting this book for a very long time, as a young lad. Nostalgia.

I did the exact same thing in cancelling my Amazon pre-order. I switched to TFAW and they claim it will be in my next pre-order shipment later this month.

Its nice book overall. Id seen it at one of my local comic shops. Its every piece of cover art, pin ups, art prints, promo art and even recent collaborations by Kevin and Peter. I just hope they don't take too long for the trade version of this as that has been my editions of the ultimate books. Although thats gonna be harder to see the art between pages in the gutter loss compared to the hardcover.

Overall it’s nice to have all of the sketches and inks and whatnot. Everything that’s black and white is clean and crisp. The original simple colored covers look great too like issue 4, but everything else that’s in color looks really bad. It’s either too dark, or white washed, or blurry. I’m pretty bummed about this one but happy I saved the $17 bucks. Some of the volume 2 covers are barely readable. |

I browsed thru this again and I don't recall the covers for the magazines, comics interview or comics buyers guide being in this at all. If I'm wrong please correct me. Weren't they new art by Kevin and Peter? I do agree they should've put in more pages for the TMNT volume 2 series covers could've been seen alot better. What was with the thumbnail layout for those? It just seemed if it's an art like book then shouldn't stuff have taken up a page(s) as much as possible?
