Why Is Hyperstone Heist Is So Expensive

As you guys may know that I'm trying to gain back games I had to sell at an estate sale before I moved and I'm trying to find games I still haven't gotten back.

What is the deal of Ninja Turtles The Hyperstone Heist being so freaking expensive on eBay? They range from $40 in bad condition to $150 in better condition. I want my games back, but I don't think it's worth spending an arm and a leg for a single game. And it's not just Hyperstone Heist, but Sonic 3 also. I was able to get Monopoly for the same system for only $5, and I had fun getting my ass kicked by the game.

Honestly, I remember it being expensive for a long time. Even 10-plus years ago, it was crazy trying to find a decent copy at a decent price.
