Surely you remember The Incredible Shrinking Turtles.

Then again I guess Leo forgot how he was the only one seemingly not scared of the sewer snake and fought it off.

Wyrm & Scumbug were both fought by Donatello & Raphael in an issue of Archie Adventures. I suppose that was after Wyrm's toy design, however. I'm not sure.

Well after. Scumbug and Wyrm appeared together earlier in the series too, I think right after the first Codename: Chameleon story. In fact, they (Scumbug and Wyrm and Chameleon) seem to be back to back both times they appear.

Wyrm was all yellow in the Archie series, so his design here is more based on the toy.

Would make sense, given this clip is from a Playmates toy commercial.

I was always curious if Mona Lisa ever made it into the comercials? The thing with the Wyrm is that he didn't appear in the series.I do remember him from the Archie comics though.Interesting he was animated for the Playmates ad.

Seems all the animation of the characters (3 of the four appear in Planet of the Turtleoid) is new stuff, not recycled from an episode. Maybe Wyrm may have just never got an episode.

Or maybe he was supposed to get an appearance but it was scraped.

Surprised he had a voice too in the video, which makes me think it might be from some ep canceled in mid-production.

Thanks for the video post. Does any one else like the way they say teenage mutant ninja turtles at the end or is it just me?

Scumbug's reference to fighting the turtles was just thrown in there to make it seem as if he had some history not referencing to any actual lost episode.
Same with Wyrm, he's off model and cheap looking while the characters who actually appeared on the show look much better, clearly he was made only for the commercial and since it was 3 seconds of animation no one cared to put too much detail on that character. There is no lost Wyrm episode.

I'm surprised hot head never got an episode though, he seemed like a cool character.

Thankfully we were spared from:

- Hotspot
- Scratch (I only like his character in toy form)
- Halfcourt
- Sandstorm
- Monty Moose
- King Lionheart
- Doctor El

Also, does anyone think Dr. Cobrato from the episode "Snakes Alive" was sort of based on Scale Tail?
I thought Dr Cobrato WAS scale tail.

Pizzaface is an awful character, unsure why I had that toy as a kid.
Scratch would've just been an OT version of old hob. I really wish Rise had used hotspot, sandstorm, mony moose, lionheart and doctor el (well that one would've not been possible due to PC culture), I feel that's the only show that could've done them right. I know halfcourt gets a blink and miss cameo but still wasted opportunity. Would it have been silly? sure but we live in a world of Lita the teenage mutant girl turtle fanfic is canon so who cares.

I have a feeling that this snake guy was based of Scale Tail, like Ray from "Revel without fins" was based on Ray Fillet / Man Ray.

What a missed opportunity that was for them not to use scale tail.

Yes, he should have been the villain in the episode 'Snakes Alive!' in 1992.
