I look at it like how DC and WB do stuff like "Justice League Dark: Apokolips War" in animation. It's super dark and violent but they'd never do anything close to that in a mainstream feature film, especially after how divisive the comparatively-tame Snyder movies were.
They can get away with certain things in a medium where they know a lot fewer eyes will be on it, and therefore a lot fewer people to hyperbolically complain about the creative choices. I can see occasional TMNT animated films that skew more "adult" but never a mainstream feature film or anything like that. Those will always be kid-friendly comedies.

I don't think one thing has anything to do with the other.

Maybe it'll be the hottest new comedians in costume as the TMNT, going up against a bunch of roller-skating, topless nuns with uzis.

They will have to find new actors to play the Turtles, Because the one who played Raph had a bad experience shooting both of the previous movies. This is due in part with how the studio treated them.
When both of the movies were out there being promoted, or at screenings, Megan Fox and Will Arnett did most of the interviews and not the actors who played the Turtles, and this is because nobody knows who the actors are who played the Turtles, I think this time they really should put those actors front and center and doing the interviews since they play the Turtles. They weren't big names which is why I think the studio ended up using the other two. Last edited by TigerClaw; 08-04-2021 at 03:36 PM. |

If it's not a sequel then yeah, easy to assume it would be new people.
I quite enjoyed Pete Ploszek's voicing of Leo, once we finally got to hear him in OofS, he had a great voice for him, but understandable if he and the others would not be interested in continuing. Hopefully the next casting of April will be someone who is actually believable in the role. |

April must be a teenage black girl with glasses in the next live action movie like she is in rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles.

No way Bay and PD would skip having an adult woman they could try to objectify in some way with a pointless scene at least once. |

Nobody cares about the actors who plays the Turtles. Also there really isn't any chance they'd want the same actors anyway if they want to sell this as a new reboot.

iT IS very important that the next series has not started yet while 3 movies are into development. Because the movies will not exist if the tv series were not so succesful.

When I heard of a new movie being made i jumped of joy.
But when I saw who was making it, it's like gravity was multiplied tenfold. I cannot believe they're taking another crack at it after their last failure. And what irks me the most, is that TMNT is reboot city at this point. How many more times must TMNT be a creative test subject for people to dump their "vision" on? Just do something non-controversial for turtles designs. A faithful origin story. And go steady from there. Can't do that? Then copy another successful formula which is going back to first movies continuities. It's being done a lot since Cobra Kai. Can't believe the only movie I'm excited for is Rise, and I haven't even watched Rise.

I wish we didn't have constant movie reboots. Remember how we waited from TMNT III in 1993 all the way till 2007 for the 4th movie? That was a good long wait, and it was for the best.
I'd rather have no new movie in a long 15 year gap then constant ones that aren't very good. |

You'd think the age guy would understand the older we get the less time we have to wait. lol
Yeah, they shouldn't do too many close together, esp if they're just going to keep screwing it up, but geeze, I'm too "old" now to have to wait 15 years each time. lol Too bad they didn't manage to put out a really good one in 2014 that then inspired a series of decent sequels, giving films real reason to produce a bunch. While I appreciate that MAYBE a little more grown up film might still be in the works alongside an animated one, packing all this in there just feels like the film side of NECA and other companies trying to shove as much TMNT product as they can out there right now as well. |

I hope it's a sequel to the awesome Bay Platinum Dunes Ninja Turtle movies, we need a third one.
