Theories About The April O'Neil Files

Still no word about The April O'Neil Files. So here here are my theories about what it might be.

1) A spin-off series about April's high school life.

2) A miniseries that heavily involves April's powers, her past, and her mother. With the Turtles as supporting characters.

3) A made for TV movie. Also involving April's powers, past, and mother. Featuring flashbacks to her childhood. Like when Mask of the Phantasm has flashbacks showing how Bruce Wayne became Batman. Which involves his first love, Andrea.

Maybe it's the series from April's point of view as she writes about her adventures and companionship with the Turtles in her journal.

If it happens, my guess is a series of shorts, either stand alone or continuing, and either playing at random on Nick or during TMNT commercial breaks. Maybe related to her journal writing that was, if I recall correctly, initially hinted at when they were at the farm house, à la 1990. Future journalist/reporter April in the making.

I suppose it could also be a story arc to be seen in Seasons 4 or 5 of the show. It probably didn't start out that way when it was announced, but I figure we might have seen something about it if it was gonna be its own special or spin-off.

Its probably just going to be some online flash thing.

I think a lot of you are forgetting some shows get online flash shorts (usually crappily animated), based on a kids show.

If I wanted a show with April as the main character, I'd watch the current show.

Besides, Tim Hill doesn't seem like he's the best writer. I mean, when your credits contain something like Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever, how good of writer/director could you possibly be? If this got canned, my heart surely isn't broken.

I got an idea. If SDCC 2016 has a Turtle Panel, we (the users that are attending) should ask what The April O'Neil Files exactly is. That is, if they don't elaborate it by the time a Q&A starts.
