My Mega Bloks/Construx 1987 customs
Hello everybody.
I don't know if there are many people here interested in this, but for me this is the best TMNT 1987 cartoon line. It combines my love for Lego with my love for the 1987 cartoon Since Mega discontinued the line I made quite a lot of custom builds for the Turtles and the baddies. I'll showcase them more in-depth if anyone is interested, as well as post the instructions for who ever wants to build them. This is a snippet of what I have done. Few of the photos are a bit older, some stuff changed a bit, and a bunch got added. |

My first custom build was the Transport Module!
The model is built using Lego pieces, most of which were bought through BrickLink. It can accommodate 4 figures and by pure luck fits perfectly inside the Technodrome's bottom floor. Then a few months ago I decided to make a version 2, with figures sitting side by side (rather in some diamond position), and I added the wheels and different drill part. For anyone interested in building one, here are the instructions for the version 2: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ljq5g...odule.pdf/file |

I came to this line pretty late, when the line was already over and it was clear that no sewer lair was going to be built by Mega. So I took it upon my self to build me a lair as close to the cartoon one as possible, using only Lego and limiting the size to a 48x48 baseplate (to keep the parts count a tad smaller). That's why Splinters meditation room is very small and behind the living room. If you squint hard enough you might see the turtle shell in the tetris like carpet
The last pic shows newly added stickers with rivets to the pipe door sections. Unfortunately no instructions for the Sewer Lair, I made it before I knew how to make instructions, and making one now is extremely hard. Thanks TheCanadiandrome and Powder |

Next on the list is the second iconic vehicle of the turtles, the Turtle Blimp.
The glider is easily detachable from the blimp and holds 3 turtles solidly. Only thing left is for me is to learn how to paint so I can paint the blimp in proper colours. I've included a couple of pics from me prototyping, testing.. Instructions: http://www.mediafire.com/file/qdxrgj...blimp.pdf/file The blimp is a Lego piece, used in just one set, making it quite rare and kinda expensive. Thanks wpugh2424 |

Loving the Blimp concept! The scale seems about right too!

Awesome! I've been working on a knucklehead too, very similar to your smaller one but I haven't gotten the proper colors yet.

Thanks guys
The Knucklehead is the only TMNT vehicle I had as a kid, so naturally I had to try and recreate it. I have created 2 versions. Smaller one is comparable to toy size and the Knucklehead that appeared in the cartoon in the episode "Enter: The Fly". Bigger one is a double seater, and designed to match a bigger version of the Knucklehead that appeared in the cartoon in the episode "Casey Jones: Outlaw Hero". Colours are not a perfect match, but it's the best I could do, it's very hard to find the specialised pieces in correct colour. Instructions: Small Knucklehead http://www.mediafire.com/file/k5ck9a...+mini.pdf/file Big Knucklehead http://www.mediafire.com/file/cme18u...ehead.pdf/file |

The Cheapskate! It'is based on 1988 toy, it's significantly bigger than the cartoon version, but more easily buildable. Like the toy I have given turtles the manhole cover shield.

With most of the TMNT sets came a certain pipe piece that most people find useless (unless used as intended, for displaying figures). I haven't seen very many people utilise it. This here is the project where I used most of them. It started small, but as I got more sets it grew. It's my little NYC corner for my Comic Turtles
At one time, on the rooftop, the comic turtles were in their classic volume 1 #1 cover pose (thou mirrored because of the roof being mirrored). Here's my attempt at Raphael Micro Series cover |

Looking great, totty! I wish the Mirage series of MegaBloks hadn't been exclusively black n' white style.

Next project, probably a forever ongoing one, is Technodrome upgrading.
As seen on the first photo, the inside of the Technodrome was quite empty so Shredder had to send out his Foot Soldiers to steal some equipment. I've pushed the portal screen as far back as possible, increasing available space for figures. I've also expanded the platforms on each "door" section, as well as added new platforms below. |

I love the Mouser horde, and the idea of Baxter already being a mutant before Rocksteady!

Thanks. Yes, some were quite the challenge. Trying to stay within figure scale is hard with bricks and plates, but it is fun. |
