Yes of course it was the two male characters, not as hard as I expected it would be just using Google but it did yield the least amount of shipping images. Granted, one them isn't human and that might have something to do with it but that doesn't seem to stop a lot of shippers otherwise.

The second hardest was April and Irma. I guess that despite the FW cartoon being "Teh thing evrywun noows aboot!!!", nobody really cares about the characters of that show unless they happened to own the toys. Irma may in fact be less known and popular than Karai.

Why wouldn't Irma be less known than Karai? Karai has been back to back in the past THREE TMNT movies.

True and I don't really have an argument against that, Karai has far more prevalence in the franchise than Irma and Irma wasn't exactly compelling back in the day.

It's just that I felt the need to clarify that Karai could be more well known and/or popular than characters in the FW cartoon because... Well... Quite a few people here have a problem accepting that the FW cartoon and 90's movies may not remain the most well known or popular iterations of the franchise, or even remain more influential in the grand scheme.

Ironically with all the 'SHOCK' and 'AWE' of Jennika locking lips with Fanfic Pork Gal, I get 0 reaction out of it. Sure, first lesbian kiss, but it's fanfic characters.

To tell you the truth, if the last page was April and Baxter locking lips (and with it looking like April herself initiated or is totally into it), THAT would have made my jaw drop. THAT would have made me anxious to see the next issue to find out WTF is going on.

And the irony is they're both straight characters, but it is their character and their motivations and animosity that make that look completely out of left field.

Jennika barely had a personality, and Poker Gal is still an unknown character no one has any real reason to care about. With April and Baxter so many questions are raised, what's happening here? Is April betraying the Turtles? Who's playing who? With Jen and Poker, nada.

Or ok, if you want to keep it gay, then Jen and April. That would have been just as shocking I believe, to have the TMNT postergal come out as gay in such a shocking fashion. But a made up fanfic mutant girl no one's ever heard of? Naw.

They should of made April and Angel kiss instead. Everyone likes hot lesbians over ugly lesbians. The way some IDW artists draw Angel and April in the recent issues, you'd want them to get it on. Plus there is something extra spicy about seeing a Latina like Angel with a white girl like April.

But instead we got some fat pig mutant like Sheena and Jennika kissing, nobody likes butch lesbians.

I admit, when I saw which way the wind was blowing early into things (a touch of Fred Wolf inevitably growing into a full-on Fred Wolf bugaloo on the horizon coupled with Turtles that have a stupid no killing policy, plus I never really quite got over the bait and switch with the red bandannas vs. the rainbow ones) and bailed, I never could have imagined in a million years imagined or predicted how much worse things would actually end up getting. For sure I foresaw lots of mutants coming to the forefront and a complete killing of the TMNT being unique or alone... but everything else? Like in the last few years? Yeesh.
