What kind of phone do you have?
I just bought a new Samsung today. It looks pretty cool.

No frills. I'm not someone who cares about having a nice phone. I have a £15 phone to call and text, that's it. I have a tablet for my mobile needs so see no use for a smart phone.

I'm not sure what you mean with your second sentence. I have a phone too - I presumed the thread was about all phones - be it the most state of the art or the most archaic. I was simply stating that my phone is pretty **** and low end but it performs the basic functions I require from a phone so I'm a happy bunny. I don't need a phone which can access the internet, play music etc when I'm out and about because A) I have other things that play music and B) I don't want to browse the internet in cafes or in the street. |

I don't care anyway. I'm only going to use it for texts and calling. |

My first one was a Samsung Galaxy Ace 3. My current one is a Vodafone LTE 4G. It was quite cheap, especially by using the points I've accumulated. I first wanted to get a newer Samsung model, but holy ****, they're expensive as hell. And what for? Just to have Samsung apps? Pass.

Yes, that's the point I was making. I only use phones for texting and calling so there's no need for me to have anything fancy. A £15 PAYG is fine by me. In fact I barely use it anyway. I've topped up with £10 twice in the last six months, I think.

Fun fact: I used my previous phone (a Nokia) for 6 years.

Top man. That makes a lot of sense in this fast-moving, saturated market.
I have so little respect for phones that I don't even know what model mine is. It's a Nokia I think, but I don't know the exact type. It's downstairs right now. I tried to google for something which is identical to it but I couldn't find anything. |

Of all the phones I've had the one that lasted the longest was a Nokia my parents had bought me in 2007. It lasted until it broke in 2012. That's when I got my first smartphone ever. They don't seem as durable, though.

Mine is pretty similar actually, an older Samsung model I've had a few years via Virgin Mobile.
Likewise, I probably won't bother having a smart phone until there is no other option. |

Flip phones looked cool... but I never found them very practical.

I'm still using a Samsung Galaxy S3, but with an extended battery in it.

I still have a slide phone (LG) with a keyboard and all. I don't feel that I need a smart phone...as long as it can send/receive texts and calls, I'm set.

I have a Nokia N which I got from my mom after my old one died. Had it for a few years now.
Although, my mom did buy me a used iPhone 4 from a friend of hers, but I haven't started using it yet. |
