The folks at The DisInsider said at one point that Lana Condor, who is Vietnamese, was considered for the part. This isn't the only time someone with international heritage played Snow White. Kristin Kreuk of Smallville, who is of Chinese descent, played the character in a TV movie.

Her wish will mostly likely be like Jasmine's in the live-action Aladdin. Jasmine wanted to be Sultana and got her wish and married the boy as a bonus, so Snow White will probably want to be a strong-willed queen. I clearly saw this coming when Greta Gerwig signed on the rewrite the script. In her version of Little Women, Jo March didn't end up a with a guy because she didn't need one. The songwriters who wrote "Speechless" in the 2019 Aladdin are also creating new songs for this film, so Snow White is most likely going to get a power anthem as well.

Rachel Zegler further elaborated what the creative team behind the movie have planned for Snow White.

There's not much I can say about it besides the fact that Snow White has constantly been criticized — even though she's the original Disney princess and we love her so much — but criticized for existing solely for a prince, existing solely to be rescued. And I think that our director, Marc Webb, and everyone who's working on this film has really taken her narrative and turned it into something that's a lot stronger. And I'm very, very excited to be able to bring that to life.

I don't really read the Los Angeles Times at all, but they made a very good point earlier this year about how the character and story are timeless after feminist critics criticized the refurbished Disneyland ride for including what they thought was a "non-consensual kiss". The writer also said that he actually doesn't see Snow White as someone who needed marriage, unlike Cinderella or Aurora.

Unfortunately, the Prince has unfortunately suffered the same fate as Li Shang did in the live-action Mulan. Tony Award-winning actor Andrew Burnap will be the male lead in the film. He will not be playing the Huntsman either. Burnap is playing an entirely new character.
