Oh this is cool I didnt even know there was a section on here to post non-tmnt customs, though the majority of my customs IS TMNT. Cool Megaman customs Patraw, seen them on FigureRealm also, very accurate to the Capcom video game designs. I made Megaman characters Fireman and Iceman based on their U.S. "Mega Man" cartoon appearance, since I used that 1995 toyline from Bandai as base figures. They made figures of all the part 1 bosses except these 2, and I always thought these toys were pretty cool so I wanted to complete my collection. Fire Man was made using a Mega Man with an extra blaster attached that I cut off a spare Proto Man and using Aves apoxie sculpt. Ice Man was made using Cut Man as a base, 2 sewing buttons for the glasses, and using Aves apoxie sculpt.

Neat-o Mega Man customs. I never liked Ice Man, but you did a great job on him; Fire Man is definitely my favorite out of these two. Now all they need are their buddies Cut Man, Guts Man, Bomb Man, and Elec Man.

I wonder if Capcom's artists based Ice Man on DC's Captain Cold? I recall reading in an interview that some of Mega Man 1's robot masters were inspired by American comics, and that Elec Man's head in particular was based on Marvel Comics' Wolverine.
You ever think about making the new robot masters from the PSP version of Mega Man 1, Oil Man and Time Man?

Hm I never noticed that, but I do see the similarity between Elec Man's and Wolverine's masks, they're kinda the same shape and yellow. Captain Cold's and Ice Man's outfits look similar too, particularly the hood.
Haven't thought of making Time Man and Oil Man, I completely forgot that those characters were added into the remake. Since my Mega Man customs are based on the "Ruby-Spears" cartoon, I'll probably make a few more characters from that series that didnt get toys. Although the cartoon models aren't my favorite, I just really like the toys for some reason. I plan on making a cartoon Air Man just for comedy. If you've seen him in the cartoon you know just how ridiculous he looks lol. But most of the other characters looked at least decent, they're all just much taller and buffer than their video game counterparts. Have you made or do you plan to make the original 6 robot masters in your method of customization? I bet you could make them look really great and video game accurate, based on your other Megaman customs that I've seen. |

I never saw the episode of the cartoon with Air Man in it. I just looked it up on Google, and, while I do like the original game design better, I don't think the cartoon version is that bad. I don't know if you've seen it or not, but Jin Saotome did a really great Air Man custom some time ago, with a working motorized chest fan and everything.
I don't know if I'll ever make any of the robot masters from Mega Man 1 - I haven't made any Mega Man figures in years.

Yea the body of the cartoon Air Man looked ok for the most part, it just looked really weird to me that they gave him an actual head with a face on top of his body, where on the games he was basically just a fan with eyes. He's the only one in the cartoon that looked really weird to me just because of that. All the other robots looked ok.
And yes I have seen the custom Airman you're talking about, that one looks really cool, the cartoon should have made him look something like that instead. |

Dinosaucers - Allo - Original Sculpt
I am working on creating a line of Dinosaucers collectibles (slowly but surely) Here is Allo - My second attempt - My first sculpt a few years back cracked and crumbled so I gave up for a while. I'm actually glad it did because this one turned out much better!
Just for reference.. Here is the first attempt from 2005

Allo looks great so far; I remember watching that cartoon when I was a kid, although, typical for me, I liked the bad guys a lot better than the good guys. While the newer one is cooler looking, I think your first shot at the character was more accurate to the cartoon.

Thanks for the comments. I also loved the Baddies more... Allo just seemed like the natural starting place. The show intro opens with him and all... I see what youre saying about accuracy but this show was tough with consistency. Depending on the angle the version I have here is somewhat more accurate, while the old one, in some shots is better....
The snout in particular I took from some cels I had. The helmet I use my creative license a bit. Overall the sculpt it much better. Here is my latest update. I started on the torso, got to a point that I thought I was done, revisited my reverence material and said.. you can do better. I made him too toned and did not do his power pack accurately... after I set him down for a while I started up again and think the second go is much more accurate. TORSO #1 TORSO #2
