I think that one should care about review, before one experiences that piece of media. Thats the point of reviews, after all, in order to tell someone whether or not something is worthy of one's time/money. Reviews are very important to deciding which pieces of media you should partake in.

Obviously, I'm the problem. Yep, The guy who was defending all the cray decisions made from the beginning.

I was blind to the Michael Bay involvement, thinking he would actually deliver a great product. I took jabs when I said Megan Fox was an alright choice. I even went so far as to say this movie would be better served with Bay directing.

But here, we see the result. After all these years, they serve up a scathing reminder that they just don't care, and expect our money. And half of you are buying it.

Look, It's simple. If you vote for this with your dollars, then we all lose. Not just TMNT, but every movie made going forward. It's profitability over art, and for what? They get rich, and we're enabling the process.

I love watching films, just like the rest of you, but each time they cut corners and serve up half baked crap, and we all buy it, the quality of the work takes a hit. They now really think we will buy anything, and you're proving them right.

Playmates doesn't care -it's why the toys are so bloody abysmal. why bother with quality control when you'll buy a half painted Donatello missing an eye?

This isn't Israel/Palestine problems, nor is it about race relations, or anything even remotely as important, and of course I get that. It's first world problems times a zillion. I'm well aware.

On the other hand, it does impact who works and who doesn't, how many artists are employed, and how many aren't, as studios shrink budgets because the quality of work is just "good enough". It determines what movies get made, and who makes them.

Go ahead, make the argument that it's just a popcorn flick, and mindless entertainment. We'll you're right, and that's what you've got now, but it didn't have to be that way.

I like Black Nerd, but I feel he might be too stuck in the past to give this new iteration a chance, I'm interested also in Michelle Ivey's review even though it'll probably be positive due to her biased obsession lol, just interested in what she has to say

agreed Andre well he is a fan of all the turtle cartoons I kind of hope his love for the older stuff doesn't cloud his review.

I honestly think Andre (Black Nerd) is being extremely fair in giving the new movie a chance.

After reading some of the reviews, I'm still not sure if the CGI in this film will be good or bad. Some says it's terrible others says it's flawless. I don't think that the quality of the CGI should be based on opinions at all.

I will be honest ladies and gentlemen, as long as this movie has tons of good action and lots of tmnt screen time, then I am all good. Personally speaking, I feel as if it will have more good comedy than say I don't know, GOTG. The comedy in that was mostly ****ing awful if you ask me.

Not really.. everyone is different. And when it's a system of human beings with preferences and bias's there are bound to be flaws in that system. Rotten Tomatoes is a perfect example. A lot of those movies that scored in the 90's are awful. A lot of films that scored very low I thought were great movies that i would have missed out on if I allowed others to make the decision for me. So if I watch a trailer and it looks good... I go see it.

The fact that GOTG got a 90% rating before it came out and Age of Extinction got a 17 is telling. And honestly.. it doesn't mean ****. Age of Extinction made a billion friggin dollars

I think you're overreacting a bit.

I only laughed about three times in theaters. Most of the humor actually made me frown.

You're right it didn't but it was NEVER going to be more than what it is, you would have needed a different director and studio in the first place to get more than a pop corn flick. Bay has delivered exactly what he is capable of. We can at least thank the power of the people that we don't have a white washed Shredder.

Just gonna have to wait another 10 years for a that gritty indepth TMNT movie. It will happen just not anytime soon...

Some people have a better eye for spotting bad CGI than others. I heard tons of people praising Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' CGI, but I thought most of it looked terrible. (Great in closeups, horrible in wide shots.) It's one of those things that varies quite a bit from one critic to another.

I'm almost positive that, had it not been for the fan reaction to the white washing, he would have been.

It's an odd way to do business, but they seem to want to make the blunder, then retract. I really don't understand it.
