At least the story sequence in the spolier thread is bang on and megan fox isn't all that bad...
Well that dude is really hard to please ha ha He even gave a pretty bad review for Dawn of the planet of the apes. But knowing Megan Fox was ok(ish) is kinda pleasing.

Nice, so the top review says 2 hours and 2nd says 101 minutes which I assume is accurate.

Now Rafael, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo are back — along with their rat mentor Splitter and their evil nemeses The Shredder and his deadly Foot Clan — and I wish I could say this big-budget reboot was more fun than it actually is.
This review is disqualified...Splitter....haha

It was a typo as he correctly spells Splinter later in the review.

I was kidding...but in all seriousness, these people are paid to hate movies. I don't know why anyone listens to what they have to say, I bet they have most of their review written out before even going to see it. I'd rather listen to a person who paid to see something, and has a quick answer if they liked it. I don't need a 1000 words for a movie review.

They're not paid to hate movies, but to be analytical in most cases. They certainly have their biases with what they deem good cinema, and that should always be factored in when read in the reviews. The review is there to explain why the film did or didn't work for a particular reviewer although some use it as open Mic night at the comedy club.

From what we're hearing/reading from the people who have seen the film, it's exactly like I expected it to be which is a train wreck of a TMNT film. It sounds like there might be some entertainment value if I can shut out the issues I already have. Guardians was as good as I thought it was going to be, and it has me contemplating buying another ticket for it to see this train wreck without financially supporting it.

It is funny how some of his grips (Variety reviewer) is just opinion based. Nothing solid is established of why, but only hey I didn't like it. The looks of the turtles are ugly. Why? Bc they don't look as engaging as the 90's rubber suits do? Why? Bc they are ugly. Its not funny. Why? Bc it is not sophisticated? Why? Bc it is not funny. He went to this movie looking for Bayisms. O look an explosion, that must be Bay. O look an action sequence with innocent bystanders, must be Bay. The guy from the wrap I believe more. This guy just sounds like a Bay basher.

That's my plan if I bother seeing this in the theatre. Though I may just decide to see Guardians again at the last minute instead.

Misspelling a character's name doesn't invalidate everything else they write.

Secret Credit to give the fans a surprise for the final movie because of last minute reshoots. I'm sure he has the credit in the movie otherwise how did Screen Daily and Variety find his name? He was also at the Red Carpet event.

In the past, the Turtles’ appeal has been their lovable outcast status: These four oddballs are as insecure as typical teenagers, but because of their mutant strangeness, they’re even more outsiders, only having each other to rely on. Additionally, as the property’s title suggests, the material wielded a goofy, crowd-pleasing tone, delivering kung-fu fun while also acknowledging the grinning absurdity of the whole endeavour.
He really seems to get and respect what makes the TMNT work, which gives his whole analysis more weight, IMO.

Also, he made sure to credit Pete Ploszek and Danny Woodburn as the primary actors in their roles, which I feel like a lot of people are going to forget or gloss over. That was nice to see.

Normally I don't go by whats in the reviews, Cause they often get too technical and deep about the films they review. All I care about, Is the movie fun and enjoyable? These are stuff reserved for Film Snobs, Which I am not.

One of these reviews, The JoBlo review says that, Its a Fun Popcorn Movie, That's all I needed to hear.
