Ain't that the truth. I've been waiting for a Ghostbusters documentary that has been in the works for close to a decade. It's now going to be two documentaries, each one focusing on each movie, which is awesome. But I am not expecting to come out for another year or two or three.

There's also documentaries on RoboCop and Gremlins, as well as another called Frankenstein Complex, all of which I have been waiting on for a while now. (Though I think the last one is finished and just hasn't made its way to the US yet.)

But I think patience can pay off with better quality.

Can't wait to see both MOTU and TP2 docs! The MOTU doc trailer is really cool. I have another big bundle of TMNT stuff I need to send your way. Hopefully the last batch will be of use.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm a Producer on the GB doc and am handling a ton of post-production work-- motion graphics, archival, some editing. It's coming along great, and yes... in this case, more time, better quality. It'll be well worth the wait.

That's awesome to hear. I have been looking forward to that for years. Suffice to say, I'm pre-ordering as soon as I can.

A bit of it was screened already. From what I understand editing on the first doc is complete.

From my understanding, a version of it has been screened at least a couple times. But I thought that it was the original version that was one documentary and since then they decided to go break it into two documentaries, which I think was a fantastic idea since they'll be able to cover more ground on each film without worrying as much about running time, as a documentary covering both films would run into. Something that Turtle Power ran into.

I'm worried about the Gremlins doc. There haven't been any updates in a long time. I also wish someone would do a documentary on the original Poltergeist, someone who wouldn't get caught up on the curse or directing controversy.

There was an early 13-minute preview that screened at a few conventions last year, which was also sent out to Kickstarter backers a month or so ago. The preview was cut before I joined the team, so it looks quite a bit different now. The first hour of the first doc was screened for distributors a few weeks back.

On the Poltergeist thing, there's a REALLY in-depth fan site with a ton of making-of stuff. I agree, it would make for a pretty cool doc. Edlund used a lot of the techniques that he learned on Poltergeist for the GB FX.

Dave Furtney's site? I used to own a Poltergeist site myself, Poltergeist Online. His was way better, far more informative, and had interviews. He did a pair of commentaries for Scream Factory's release of the sequels.

For all of those people hoping we cover 2k3 this round check this out! We followed up with Lloyd Goldfine after 8 years since our last interview with him. This interview will support the content we collected at 4kids studios way back when, we look forward to sharing some of this content with all of you in Volume II of Turtle Power.

I'm really looking forward to this. Are you accepting any fan submissions? I have a short video clip of me singing the 1987 theme song whenever I was three years old that I'd love to send your way.
