Apparently the suicide rate is high there. The director of the anime “Paranoia Agent” touched on that particular issue in one episode where a sickly old man, a gay dude, and a little girl (no joke) all tried numerous times to kill themselves.

It’s pretty bad. It’s pretty bad that In the show Ryusoulger (Japanese Power Rangers Dino Fury) they had several episodes revolving around characters wanting to commit suicide.

Yeah, sadly I heard a lot about that. I'm assuming it's because there's this super big pressure to 'succeed' in Japan. I know America has its own suicide problems as well, but here the 'lazy loser' is a lot more glorified. Obviously it's still mocked and ridiculed, but the media at least shows a lot of 'lovable losers' as their main characters.

Japan's suicide rate has been worse. They're no longer top 10 in the world. South Korea has a higher rate than Japan. And its for similar reasons, I believe.

That being said, Japan does have a higher rate than the world average.

Unlike many other places, suicide in Japan isn't just due to mental health issues but can be due to academic pressure and failure, and also has historically been seen as an honourable thing for samurais to do, if I recall. I believe many years ago a politician hung himself the following day after getting involved in some sort of scandal. Apparently he felt shame and regret and figured that killing himself was the only way for him to atone.

Anyway, were getting off-topic and this subject is a little depressing.

Let's try and get back on topic.

Japan is a very collectivist society and adheres to the strict hierarchy.
People are constantly pressured to "not stand out" and "be productive part of society". Just cogs in the machine, without any semblance of own's desire and wants.
Naturally a lot of people break down.

Its good so far the last weeks and today's were really good.

First couple were very Class 1-A ( I mean Deku Shoto and Baku ) Light but lots of Endeavor kicking ass with other heroes

There is also cheesecake of the dudes. Shonen (boys stories) are all about visual appeal which gives all people an equal eyeful.
