Is it really all going to be over soon? I do have to say, I prefer series that don't go on forever.

There's a reason I can't get into Naruto, One Piece, etc, they're just too damn long. Even if I use a "filler ep guide" to skip the fillers, it's still not really worth it because the sheer length of episodes. Besides shows I got into as a kid like Dragon Ball Z I can't get into new anime that goes on for hundreds of episodes.

S7 Ep1 one was great. Star and Stripe is a badass and her quirk is interesting.

Sorry I didnt respond. Yeah, after this there are two arks I think? One that shores up a plot point from season 1 that was dropped and then the final one.

To put it into perspective, she is introduced (aka the last ep of last season) in chapter 329 and we are on 421. I anticipate that we are going to get through this, then the next arc and start on the final arc about 1/2 to 3/4 though the season and next season will end everything.

When it comes to filler, I *think* there was one filler episode (I cant remember if Froppys froggy family ep was in the manga...it happens after reading 421 chapters of a manga). They may have one in the final season to break up the constant big fights.

I'm just glad it will reach a conclusion. Blows my mind how long stuff like Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, etc. have gone on and seeing other anime end in a shorter amount of time and with almost no filler is ideal. It's why I can never get into those shows due to the sheer mass of episodes.

I'm glad it seems almost all modern day shonen end at a reasonable time.

Well S7 Ep 2 was good
Spoiler:
Star and Stripe got killed cause Shigaraki stole her quirk but the upside is Star's Quirk is like a poison in him killing alot of the other quirks he has stolen

hopefully we get to see Mirko and Aizawa again soon

S7 Ep 3 was another good one

Spoiler:
Found out that Yuga was originally quirkless like Deku but his parents got Yuga's quirk from All For One and was forced to be a spy for him. Yuga is the reason all the villains were able to find where the heroes were all those times.

Also we finally saw Toru Hagakure's face she is the invisible girl

Yeah, that was a plot point from season 1 or 2 that was completely abandoned.

Welp...the run is almost done. The latest chapter is titled Epilogue. They haven't announced how many chapters are left...but I am thinking 8~10? They have to fill the final volume of the manga.

Wow...huge run!

this episode was cool. Such a good plan to split everyone up. My waifu Mirko finally got to kick some ass this episode.
interesting to see what happens since Toga caused Deku not to go to the flying UA with Shigarkai

So we have at 5 chapters left (if we get them weekly). Dude...I love the franchise but I am glad we are getting an ending.

Anime that literally goes on forever seems to be a thing of the past these days, with One Piece being a perfect example of that. Or stuff like Beserk where the author actually dies in real life before finishing the story.

I much prefer shorter series, I do not need to watch 200+ episodes of the same franchise anymore. Also thank god the days of "anime filler" are also over. If MHA came out in the 90's or early 2000's, it would run non-stop all year long with a whole bunch of filler arcs between the main manga arcs, and the show would be like 500+ episodes.

Thank god My Hero Academia did not suffer what Naruto, One Piece, Bleach and to a lesser extent Dragon Ball did back in the day,

Naruto is way better than MHA. I'm thankful it's coming to an end. Too much chatter, screaming, and running around in MHA. A lot of goofy jokes made MHA boring as well. Naruto had context that made it lengthy.

They are both good in their own ways. I think I am more of a MHA fan because I am more of a Super Hero fan then a Ninja weeb.

Hahahaha! I hear you. That so called superhero stuff you're watching on MHA is more weebish than Naruto though.

Well I mean... That is for the best, is it not? I maintain that a new full adaptation of Dragon Ball would probably only be about 120 episodes, as opposed to the 444 they ended up with back in the day.

Dragonball/DBZ could be condensed (as seen with Kai), but some of the fillers genuinely help the pacing and I like seeing on-screen training. Like back in 2005 or so when I read the manga for the first time it surprised me how much stuff is skipped or glossed over. Like at the end of the Namek saga when in the anime you see Bulma wishing Yamcha/Tien/Chaiotzu and everyone back to life...yet in the manga it happens off-panel and you just get a single line "all of Goku's friends got brought back to life." lol, the anime made it much more emotional and enjoyable.

Great episode today a lot of growth for Endeavor and Bakugo. Some really cool action attacks too.
