Don't know if he was only loaned to TMNT and not technically an original TMNT character. |

Though this makes me wonder if Super 7 will actually bother trying to get the license for Panda Khan. He's not really as well known/lauded over as Usagi.

Neither character ever made an appearance in an Archie published TMNT comic. It was exclusive to a story that appeared in the TMNT Magazine (Welsh Publishing) courtesy of Steve Murphy.

Getting Triceraton for sure, now all I need is Shogun Shoate.
I wonder why they thought putting two robots in a wave was a good idea though. |

Now they can get all of the "where's the vac-metal?!?!" comments at once instead of spreading them out across two waves.

Good point, but I think this wave is what Flynn was referring to the experimental, pearlescent metal paint that they were planning on using on their Silverhawks figures- quite frankly, I would suggest they ignore the whims of their fans and try to reproduce the look of the toon as best as possible. We already have Ramen Toys making the metallic Silverhawks (as they were sub-leased the license either through Super7 or another party).

With this wave being such a dud (for me), I'm tempted to get a few Triceratons... but I also feel like since the line is completely nostalgia-driven for me, I should just get one to remind me of the days when I was a dumb kid and just thought "Triceraton" was the name of specific mutant triceratops character.
I'm wondering what the decision-making process was at Super7 when they decided to do three deep-cut figures (I guess I don't know if most would consider Don a deep-cut... but the only variants I ever had were the original four... and I opted to pass on them as well) when prominent figures like Rat King, Traag, Wingnut, Genghis and Scumbug were passed on. As others have mentioned, I'll be surprised if this isn't the worst-selling wave of the bunch. |

from what I've heard from the interviews, Super7 employees pick and choose their favorites to get made first. They are mostly making what they want. Flynn has said this quite alot.

I think this wave definitely has a "coolness" factor to it but it's missing characters that I am usually drawn to, with the exception of Triceraton. As far as Triceraton is concerned, I am debating whether to get multiple (I've only had one vintage as a kid but I have multiple NECAs) or just wait it out and get a Shogun Warrior. Furthermore, my NECAs are in dynamic poses in dioramas, while my Super7s are in statuesque static poses on acrylic stairs - I probably will vote against army building for this line (just get one of each). |

I think Guerilla Gorilla probably would have been an exciting reveal had they not convinced almost everyone yesterday that we were getting Sgt Bananas. The figure itself is the star of the wave IMO and comes packed with a bunch of cool stuff. But a lot of people aren't seeing that, they're just seeing a figure that isn't Sgt Bananas.
I think they flubbed this one. |

I really think he's cool looking, though, and I really want him... and will likely get him... but man, that $20 price hike on him specifically is not something I'm very happy about.

Glad they announced the Robo Bebop. Now I know I can skip the NECA ones. I figure if Bebop is in this wave Rocksteady will be in another.

I suppose that make sense. They could have added Robo Rocksteady to this wave but folks are already complaining about the number of mechanical personalities on board. It really depends on what you want. The NECA figures look exactly like the toon (as far as fidelity is concerned), but objectively speaking, Super7's Robo Bebop looks superior, albeit, sporting a completely different design.

For all those folks complaining here and on the Fwoosh forums about the inclusion of GG (as opposed to Sergeant Bananas), exactly what would have changed if they offered Sergeant Bananas instead? Or is this simply a convenient way to rule out the figure and save money...
As someone who has no special attachment to St. Bananas (but is a fan of 4H sculpts, nevertheless), I would like to know the rationale behind this hoopla... |
