Tsk tsk. Naughty Pocahontas getting into the firewater.

Before you condemn me to Hell... that joke writes itself AND you were all thinking it.

They've begun a new campaign and it’s the Ultimate Princess Celebration.

https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...ome-the-magic/

Anna and Elsa have also been added to the newly updated official website. However, when you click on their pictures, it takes you the website for Frozen instead of remaining on the Disney Princess website.

I'm still mad Elsa hasn't been made an official lesbian. Maybe in Frozen 3.

You're just not looking in the right places, Cubed.

It's not like Disney is ever gonna show her munching beaver or railing someone with a strap-on, after all, so who cares if they make it "official"?

Plenty of other people already do show her doing that stuff, anyway. Thank GOD.

You need to go watch one of these shows: http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=59273 or http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=49251 to get over your lesbian obsession.

Or just go to PornHub.

Elsa's a big, BIG lesbian on that there PornHub.

Like why even bother watching the "Frozen" movies anyway, when everything you'd ever wanna see them do is on The Hub? C'mon.

I can't believe how people reacted to this. Do they realize that if the Prince didn't kiss Snow White, then she would've remained under the Sleeping Death forever?

Disneyland's new Snow White ride criticized for including Prince Charming's 'non-consensual' kiss

A Disney Imagineer has responded to the criticism.

I mean, it's basically the same as giving someone mouth to mouth to resuscitate them. No one worries about "consent" with that.

This story really annoyed me because it was obviously written as a shock piece, and I really don't think the suggested backlash ever existed. But because a newspaper published the story, it got reported by other media outlets that it was a HUGE BACKLASH, which only served to fuel the cycle of making it an even BIGGER BACKLASH. And I still don't believe any of it ever existed, except for the purpose of creating a headline.

I wonder why there isn't more of a backlash toward Ariel getting married at 16. I know that's actually legal in some states, but eh. Still very young.

Snow White got married around the age of 14 or 15.

Ahem, let's just go through the potential "controversies" regarding the princesses:
  • Snow White's non-censensual kiss
  • Cinderella I guess is technically an unwitting pawn in the King's scheme to get his son to father some grandkids for him? If not that then at least there is her submissiveness, maybe?
  • Sleeping Beauty I guess has the kiss problem again?
  • Ariel getting hitched when explicitly underaged (thank you, Cubed)
  • Belle, that is a no-brainer, everyone has pointed it out
  • Jasmine picking the first guy she talks to outside the palace, as if that is actually that much better than an arranged marriage
  • Pocahontas... Uh, yeah, that one is quite obvious as well, way more than Belle.
  • Mulan didn't touch on trans issues (no joke, I've actually seen people complain about that)
  • Tiana's movie didn't touch on the racism of the US south at the time (also one I've seen people complain about)
  • Rapunzel depicts biological parents as being inherently more important than adopted ones
  • Merida, I guess didn't touch enough on the matter on female empowerment?
  • Moana... I actually don't know anything about, I haven't seen the movie
  • Frozen has Elsa actually be the cause of the problems herself and Anna presented as overly naive
  • Kida literally turns into stone and has to be rescued
  • Maid Marian is an archetypical damsel
  • Eilonwy is just kind of a useless bitch
  • Raya is a bit slow to figure out the obvious solution
  • Anastasia (you can technically count it now) has the same problem Pocahontas

I should probably point out here that I haven't actually seen people make most of these complaints, I just made them up trying to think of problem, nor do I agree with most of them despite making up most of them.

I do actually agree with the Pocahontas and Anastasia problem though. Pocahontas and Anastasia were real people and what happened to them in real life was pretty disturbing, I don't really think it's OK to make sanitised kids' movies with happy endings of such horrific events. Not that you can't make historical fiction for kids but please stick to lighter events in history, don't take something bad and soften it up, that just rubs me the wrong way.

By this point Prince thought that Belle is ****ing DEAD!
Unless those scumsucking retards think that dead somehow should give their consent to be kissed one last time by their loved ones, they can **** right in the Sun and stay there!

They are nothing, but little petty cultural parasites.
Honestly West becomes dumber and dumber every weak.

Anything of real innocence and fundamental-story is completely gone in lieu of unintellectual people playing pretend and intellectual social observations. It's country-by-committee-of-fools. Someone here sometime back reminded me that we were in clown world. I've permanently cribbed that saying. It's full on clown world.

Looking at my own list there, it struck me, does anyone else think Snow White and Sleeping Beauty may be variants of the same fairy tale?
  • Both stories feature an evil witch wishing the death of a princess.
  • Some folkloric being(s) help prevent this death.
  • The murder weapon is disguised as something seemingly harmless and puts the princess in a coma.
  • Eventually a prince comes along and revives the princess with a kiss.

Could be, after all all of the pantheons and legends of the Indo-European people had originated from the common source. And even, if this folk tale is not as ancient as general PIE mythologies, it is still possible that it spread its way through different nations and underwent significant changes during it.

Or maybe, people who created those stories, loved the same narrative tropes. After all, those folk tales served as a way to teach kids about behaviors in society.
