I ordered one about 15-20 minutes ago and requested a Jim Lawson sketch. I've already got a Laird one for #29, so I thought I'd let someone else have it for #30.

Ordered mine... couldn't decide who I wanted to sketch, so I just went with default.

Well, there will be a total of at least 300 sketches, so I'd say your chances are still pretty decent. I dunno; it's up to you.

Damn. I missed the "Write your preferred artist in the comments box" bit. Would've preferred a Talbot or Lawson sketch, but I guess I'll get a copy with Laird's, which is still nice.

Tbh if you are getting just one, a Laird or Lawson one makes more sense. I like them both ofc.
But the problem is, other than inking we are not getting anything from Eric nowadays and tho i really really like Jim's style, i would do anything less than killing to get an issue drawn by Eric for TMNT since his style is just spectacular for my liking. So i got the Talbot one And Cipher. I am not sure but i guess if you send a mail to Katie, even tho you did not specify which one you want during order, you may still get the one you want.

I only just got to order...dunno if I'll get a signed copy now.
I'll have to wait a while anyway since last time it took ages to get over here, and last time I think I was lucky to get a signed copy! |

I love me some Eric Talbot as well... though, to be perfectly honest, I just don't like his current/modern style, particularly as it pertains to the TMNT itself.
I mean, there's nothing wrong with the style... it just doesn't resemble his earlier takes on the TMNT that I was rather fond of. |

I ordered mine first thing on the phone on 7:30 am Edmonton, AB time, just before I went to work. Thats 9:30 over there eastern. We've no idea if the other artists have started their sketches yet. Peter at least has. I didn't ask which artist sketch, so I'll probably be getting a Peter sketch. Glad I'm not the only that thinks the sketch should be those of the people that actually work on the comic. So if the next issue they do all the Mirage guys again, I may ask for a Jim sketch. Next to to that maybe Eric 'cause he inks and letters it right? Can't wait to read this issue.
Peter says on his blog that TMNT V4 #31 should make it out this year at least. He started toning it. |
