Playmates: UK Exculsive Extreme Commando Repaints!!
And, so it begins. The start of the repaints. And they're not even being released here in the states. We're getting a -different- repaint. God help us all. I realize that the turtle brand is selling really well right now. But Playmates needs to watch it. Or they're going to lose retailer and consumer confidence with all the repaints and such. Here you go, repainted Fighting Gear Turtles for the UK, Extreme Commando Turtles.
Leonardo: Extreme Commando Raphael: Extreme Commando Michelangelo: Extreme Commando Donatello: Extreme Commando

Wow. Just... wow.
I take back all the complaints I had about Baxter. Those are easily 100 times worse. Playmates, I promise I'll buy a Baxter if you stop this insanity before it starts. |

But they look kinda okay...but the originals will be super cool |

Come on guys. We all knew this was gonna happen. Let the kids waste their money on repaints just like we all did with the old line!

Yeah but we haven't even got the originals in the UK yet so it's not really a rip off for us.

I don't know about the repaints here in the U.S., but I saw some of the Fightin' Gear Turtles at my local Wal-Mart Supercenter the other day (the ones that have the DVDs in them), and I don't know if they're repaints, or not. How can I tell, for sure? Just curious.

Those recolours KICK ASS. I want them. I'd rather have them than the original versions.
Some of you folks seem so upset with the very principal of there being recolours. Wake up, people! This IS the toy industry! Sayonara. |

I have to say I enjoy those repaintings. They appear to be better than the original figures. Leaves me to wonder what sort of recolors we Americans will recieve...
And what of Nippon? I may be moving to Japan in the near future, and wish to know if the TMNT figure series is/will be available within that country.

Aren't these just the British versions of the Fightin' Gear Turtles?

Thought so.
So why all the griping about repaints of figures we already have that we won't have to buy? Are there really so many mad collectors out there?

Well, you can't get them unless you live in the UK. Do you live in the UK, Aaron?

Well, why go to e-bay to get them if you said you'll pass on them? Seems like a waste of time to me. No offense.
