TMNT x Justice League [Mugen-Ikemen GO]

Official Link:
tmntxjl.com

After over three years of fan developing, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Justice League: Earth's Last Defense is ready for its full, public release April 15. As a dedicated fan project, it's absolutely free and non-profit, of course. But the game boasts some professional artistic involvement, including commissioned character profiles by SNK veteran Nona. Developed with the M.U.G.E.N. engine, the full download will contain all necessary files for immediate play on PC.

Various work-in-progress gameplay footage has already been posted to YouTube, and all character-endings (complete with Nona artwork) can be viewed as a playlist here (MAJOR SPOILERS!):
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...0v4mzni29zzN8O

The game is a call-back to the mid-1990s, serving as a crossover sequel to both TMNT Tournament Fighters (Super Nintendo/Famicom) and Justice League Task Force. Fans of the classic TMNT Konami games and the classic cartoon should especially appreciate the promotional video which will accompany the game's release, featuring an all-new in-character performance by one of the classic TMNT cast members!

I'm very proud to have been personally involved with the creation of a promotional video for the game: "April's Diary," featuring an all-new in-character narration by Renae Jacobs!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaoTqsiO1uU
Big thanks to a couple of other Dromers (see credits) who were generous enough to offer their time or assets to the final product.

After you download the game (updated today to version 1.02), make sure to check out the retro-throwback PDF manual for backstories on all the playable characters, which fill in the details as to what happened after the events of Tournament Fighters (SNES) and Justice League Task Force.

Cool work! Loved the art made by Nano.
And the April's diary promo was a good and fun idea.

Thanks for the support! Hope all who have downloaded the game are enjoying it. Tons of little surprises are scattered throughout, and today saw the release of the newest version for more bug-fixes.

To coincide with the return of Rise of the TMNT, here's a specially commissioned promotional piece!

But it isn't season 3. It is just season 2 continuing after almost 5 months.

Yeah, I think Kame was going by the iTunes/VUDU streaming volume titles when he made the tweet.

Hope you like the artwork anyway.

Absolutely amazing stuff the discord guys are really nice too, i remember logging in to ask about it, and they kindly let me know the version i was using was outdated, and provided me with an up-to-date beta.
Also the whole thing oozes great production values. From the promo art i'm seeing now for the first time (as i don't have twitter) to the april's diary PV's script, voice acting and illustration, it's awesome so much care is being put into this.
And the i've always loved the SNES tournament fighters very much so it's specially dear to my heart
My respect and gratitude to everyone involved in this, very professional and passionate project.
I didn't even know a former SNK staff member was involved great stuff.

That was very well written mr. winters, you have a real flare for April's voice and it's great to see you try to connect the dots from some of the prior video games. Truth be told, I did think April was naked in the shower scene 'till I noticed the black stripes, the ol' perv in me I guess, rofl. I particularly liked that Mikey made her laugh.

Haha, there have been a few folks who have misinterpreted the inks on Carlo's awesome artwork. Budget permitting, we might have paid to all images colored, but I think the black and whites work best in the context of April's drawing in her diary. If we had gone with color, it would probably need to simulated a color pencil effect.

But I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was definitely a high-water mark of my life getting to compose a script for Renae!

And if you liked all that, I think you'll love the next project from the TMNTxJL team!

I dismissed this game because I wasn't interested in a TMNT / JL crossover romhack but this isn't just any romhack, it's a well put together game that has tons of love put into it and the attention to detail is amazing. Not to mention the actual gameplay is solid. It's up there with Rescue Palooza as an amazing fangame.

And an even better version is coming later this year!

With all the talk about April O'Neil and video games, it seemed like a good opportunity to show off an extended look (and listen) at how some newly recorded dialogued by Renae Jacobs is being implemented into the fan-game
https://twitter.com/aywhatsgoingon/s...23126402125829

Spoiler:

Full release later this year, early-build available through Discord.

TMNTxJL Turbo (Ikemen Go engine)

The official successor to TMNTxJL launched today: TMNTxJL Turbo (so 90s, right?)

The new game now focuses on Tag-Team Battles and features a whole new engine (goodbye, M.U.G.E.N., hello Ikemen GO) extensive re-balances, tons of new stages, new music by vintage Konami-era composers, new gameplay challenge modes and a Story Mode with lots of cutscenes, and more characters including a newly sprited 16-bit styled Casey Jones!

New animation frames for Wingnut and Armaggon were created by the original sprite artist Satoshi Yoshioka!

Also, we recruited Renae Jacobs and Hilarion Banks to record full voice packs for April and Casey!

Plus, a slew of new promotional artwork accompanies the game by some big name talents (Tom duBois, the late Mick McGinty, Ken Mitchroney, Jim Lawson, and others). We commissioned a "box cover" by Chris Allan in the old TF style!

A debut livestream can be seen on Twitch today at 2pm ET:
https://www.twitch.tv/dnopls/

Full Download available at:
