I think they're only as temp as whatever is in them is being stored there for.

That's the thing though, stuff tends to just stay in my temp folders, and anything truly temp never makes it in there, is saved separately and is thrown out soon after. lol
edit: Though I so rarely dump the recycle bin so it may as well be another pseudo temp folder... Last edited by IndigoErth; 03-28-2019 at 03:40 PM. |

Purebred? We had a sheltie like that once. He had his "registered" name, which was kind of pretentious-sounding, but we just called him Wallace, which was his "family name" version.

Yeh. He's a purebred Shiba Inu, certified to do shows and all.
His family tree is hilarious. It's filled with fancy super long Japanese names, and then like his great great great grandpa got this super weird Norwegian "redneck-y" name. |

Ah yes, the fancy breeder name. Our Airedale had one. Forget his parent's names (I recall his mother had kind of a nice show name), but he was Beauregard something or other. A 'B' name for being the second born.
My sister renamed him Tucker. But not a show dog. He came from a family of them, but seeing how my dad had always wanted that breed, but not interested in shows, we were able to adopt the runt of the littler. He was definitely more of a Tucker. And enough of a handful even as the so-called runt. 3/30 -- Ebay, how does this even happen? The other images for the listing were correct. Last edited by IndigoErth; 03-30-2019 at 11:06 AM. |

4/3 -- Was looking up the nutritional info for guacamole and saw a search result for a recipe suggestion of guacamole stuffed cherry tomatoes. Is there really a point...? I want to watch someone take the time to make them instead of just simply eating a bite of each. lol Last edited by IndigoErth; 04-03-2019 at 09:27 AM. |

That's pretty awesome.
I swear, there is this one old song that I hadn't heard in a while and after hearing it in a store yesterday I once again, as usual, can't remember which song it is or any of the lyrics because I'm always focused on (and laughing to myself) a repeated sound in it that I swear sounds like a dog hacking up a chicken bone. Wish I could remember so I could look here online and see if I'm alone in thinking that. lol |

He was obviously just goofing around. Copypasta is a thing. Sharing it doesn't equate plagiarism.

I confess that it always kind of confuses me for just a second anytime I hear about or see on a map of New Jersey being...west... of part of NY. From where I'm at I've always thought of it as entirely a coastal state but then part of it on a close up NJ/NY map being west of part of another state... wait, what? I guess it's partly due to it only being a small portion of the coast so it's much less noticeable on a wider map.
When the Turtles talk of New Jersey I always think it's east of them. Someone going to NJ can get there by traveling west? The hell..? |

Leaving feedback for an eBay seller and browsed through their other feedback for a min. Saw this neutral one:

I dunno, they look like regular brief cut, so maybe she has a tall torso and they don't come up as high as she likes? I've twice bought from this seller and got the XL (for their super cute TMNT boyshorts -- because dammit I'm not letting just turning 40 take the fun out of life lol) which was perfect, while in the U.S. I'd have gotten a small, so their sizing is way different than ours. They must have some seriously tiny people over there. |

I "taste" words.......word like toddler are icky , sounds like a Batman villain : The Toddler
Zoidberg too is icky , same with troll or monster.......those words are just provoking |

Like as a mental perception, applying a flavor to words, or like an actual taste via one of those interesting neurological quirks?

Sounds like some kind of Synthesia. A friend of mine has colors applied to letters. (Poor Zoidberg still can't catch a break )
Our cat void has been lifted. First there weren't enough, soon there will be many. With four of them making things interesting potentially.

Knew an older guy many years ago on another forum who visually saw different colors when hearing various sounds. Interestingly, he worked as a flute maker; I believe carved wooden ones. First time I'd ever heard of such a thing and find it kind of fascinating.
I've always applied colors to the names of different days of the week, but it's just a mental image. |

Realized the other day I've been here 10 years now. Wow! Cowabunga, or something.
