How is she a furry? Most of her fanbase might be furries, but how can the characters herself be a furry? By that definition, Dogpound, Bebop, and even SPLINTER is a furry.

Compare her to Alopex who has no female breasts at all. There's no reason mutant females should have humanoid breasts. Thank god Alopex isn't designed like that. |

I honestly could care less if Alo has boobs or not. I wouldn't change what I think of the character.

I always assumed it was just visual shorthand for "female" and made the characters easier to identify as such. Never bothered me. I never got why some people get so worked up over that stuff.

I think the main problem is some people get the wrong kind of 'worked up' over animal boobies, but that shouldn't be the character's fault. I never get that. Let's say for whatever reason, lots of crazy fangirls got the hots for Shredder and posted about how they wish he'd give them some 'training'. That wouldn't turn me off towards the character, or change my mind that he is a bad-ass villain. It would turn me off the fanbase, but not the character.

But why do female animals have boobs? This isn't a mutant monkey we're talking about.

Again, I guess at a glance it helps tell the female characters from the males sometimes? I'unno, I never over-thought it very much, I guess. I noticed even as a kid that some cartoons and comics did it and some didn't, but it never bothered me in any case.
I find it more interesting that it apparently bothers some people as much as it does. I'unno.

Females have breasts though. If you can accept mutant turtles with humanoid arms and legs, what's wrong with the females having a chest. It's not a big deal, and while Alopex gets a free pass (though she might be strapping hers down) after a while it would be weird seeing several flat-chested female mutants running around. It's just an extra trait to seperate the females from the males visually. Or do you want them all with pink dresses and little bows on their heads?

I like Ninjara. She helps give TMNTA its own flavor as a unique Turtles universe. The last arc involving her almost feels like a conclusion for the series, in retrospect. For those who never read TMNTA but don't care about reading spoilers for it:
Spoiler:
Regardless of what future plans for the series were before it was yanked, it feels like one of the best conclusions you could have given TMNTA. With everything else that had transpired in the past couple dozen issues by that point, all that was really left was one last throw-down against Shredder... which we'll probably never get at this point. :p |

& you're bumping it after it died off over a week ago. Surely that was the best thing to do.

Shrugs~ eh when its on Mammals I don't really care. I just find it weird it shows on reptiles also when they mutate. I guess Mona Lisa gets a pass because she was a human originally? But eh over all I'm not to bother by it.

Oh, by the way, Ninjara is not a mutated fox, she is from an anchient humanoid fox race. I'm also not the fan of sexualising an anthropromorph animal, but at least it's more understandable then Venus' case. She is definitely not "furry", that's the term used for the fans of anthropromorph animals, not for the drawed characters.
On her role in Archie, I think she was an okay character, served well it's purpose. Basically, Archie had a different setting then OT, the turtles always travelled around the world, and even when they were in NYC, they usually were in the future version of it. April was also present, but it would be really out of the character for her, to travel with the turtles, so Ninjara took her role as a female lead. Good thing she had a lot more attitude then OT April, wasn't the boring damsel in distress **** again and again. Her and Raph being a couple was great chance to explore parts of Raph's personality we haven't seen before, and I think Moon Eyes Saga was a nice story. Btw, fun facts: Alopex lagopus is Latin for snow fox, and Kitsune is Japanese for fox. |

Tho round, peaky breasts are traits of human females (and some unlucky males). But then foxes have 6 breasts if I'm not mistaken... which doesn't matters for Ninjara as I said, because she is a member of an unique race, and she was never a fox.
