Aliens: Fireteam

This just came out a couple of days ago. I got it on PS5.

So... I only had time to spend about 30-40 minutes in it, which got me almost through the first campaign mission. Eh. Not that fun, really. It seems too simple. You're just walking down corridors and waiting for Aliens to come hording out of accessways in the walls (that you can't go in) so you can spray them with bullets. It kind of gets old pretty fast.

I've seen people liken it to a watered down Gears of War. That being said, I'll probably play it cause I've never really sat down and played an Aliens game.

These Left 4 Dead type games seem like quite the trend these days. World War Z was really popular and even getting an upgrade and expansion this September and Back 4 Blood is releasing in October. Even if it is a Gears lite, it seems worthwhile enough for a licensed game. We already had a much slower paced first-person horror game with Alien: Isolation. A co-op third-person shooter seems like a fun direction and a perfect time waster for any Aliens fans. I'm definitely gonna pick this one up eventually.

I started playing at release yes it is very good. Started playing it on pc.

So this game pretty much sucks and has for a few months now. Nobody plays it ever so you can never find a team that isn't bots. The developer has pretty much abandoned it so there's not new content to play with.

This better be free for me. I paid for the "first season" of content and all they've added so far is some lousy hats and a few guns.
