What do you all think about TikTok?
Greetings, everyone. I hope you all are doing well. I started this thread to ask you all about TikTok. I have been posting there for a while now and I must say that I am enjoying it. I am the type of person that loves to post content around action figures such as TMNT and Transformers but I see there is a tremendous lack of posts centered around us collectors. As of right now, I only see a few posts of action figure photography here and there but I would love to see more! I rather see things that I would enjoy related to my interests instead of politics and chicks dancing provocatively while being half naked. What are your thoughts?

I don't think anything about it.

TikTok has a very good algorithm that provides tiktoks to your tastes, if you're getting politics and dancing girls it's because of your habits using the app. I get nothing like that but each person can have a very different tiktok depending on how they interact with the app.

When you first start, it's a little random. But as you start liking posts and following, it starts to be more geared towards your habits on the app.

It has and still is random for me. It is to a point where I click on the not interested tab frequently. Also, I am only following one person. I would like to see more posts from collectors such as myself. I go searching for recent posts but it is cut short. It seems the posts stopped last year.

Have heard about it of course, but haven't ever looked at it and haven't had any interest.
What's the average age demographic that uses it? If it's younger then that might be why the amount of collectors is limited. I mean, not that young collectors of things don't exist, but a lot of the heavier TMNT collectors these days are probably closer to 30 and 40. That gif above... yeah, that's a lot of what I've heard about it and I have no interest in watching idiots dance. |

most users are 10-16 like most apps that start rising in popularity it's thanks to young people and after that it grows to older audiences which is when younger folk jump out and find something fresh As stated tiktok's algorithm will soon find something you like, it's rather good at it. It's funny seeing old people trying to be hip on tiktok though.

I literally have no idea what it is. It took me about 10+ years to get into twitter and reddit before I started using them. I guess it'll take me 10+ years to figure what this is too.
Man this younger generation. Back in my day we just had forums and message boards and WE LIKED IT. Now the young kids have all these new social media apps and whatamacallits, I can't make heads or tails out of them. |

By the time Old Man Cubed gets on it, it'll be recordings of him yelling at people to get off his lawn.

I’ve seen a few TikTok videos on Facebook, but know little about TikTok itself. All I know it shares the same name as a Kesha song, each video is up to 15 seconds long and it’s very popular with teens.

Dude between this and your last, torturous GIF signature, you are indeed the Technodrome GIFmaster.

So I don't get it, it's just big-boobed sluts posting their bodies for 30 second videos? Do they get any money out of it?
They might as well just go to the porno websites and get paid. |

No. They are doing it for free for the world to see. Doing it for the views. Sad.

I've obviously heard about it but have no idea what it is.
If those gifs are any indication, I think I'll stick with PornHub.
