The "Why is this a thing?" thread
Etsy must really have one of the stupidest search options around. I searched for TMNT stencils, but nah... aside from the fact that I guess that isn't much of a thing that exists, Etsy is all like...
"Hey, how about some train whistles instead??" And by train whistles it means these monstrosities. [Spoiler for dramatic pause!] LOOK AT THOSE. Spoiler:
In all seriousness, not to knock the maker of them, if painting these things is his hobby, then more power to him. All of them are rather homemade looking, but most of his stuff has decent enough paint jobs with relatively clean lines and whatnot. The Disney ones, Captain America, etc, they all look decent enough at least for what they are. But this... holy %&@#. Why are the Turtles in contrast the durpiest looking paint job possible? With googly eyes no less. Is this a reflection of how NOT seriously people take them? I'm inclined to believe he let his kids paint those, complete with "disguise scarf" (his words), but there is no mention of that happening nor that he's a parent, so I dunno. Anyone else know of or find anything else ridiculous, feel free to add. |

I mean, I love TMNT, but I hate high-heels, even if they are TMNT-styled.

OMG. Yeah, I feel the same way about high heels, and as much as I may love the Turtles I'm not gonna voluntarily break my neck for them. lol
