Destiny's powerful hand has made the bed of my future, and it's up to me to lie in it. I am destined to be a superhero. To right wrongs, and to pound two-fisted justice into the hearts of evildoers everywhere. And you don't fight destiny. No sir. And, you don't eat crackers in the bed of your future, or you get all... scratchy.

What is sanity? Just a one trick pony, rational thought, but when your good and crazy, the sky is the limit.

Well, once again, my friend, we find that science is a two-headed beast. One head is nice, it gives us aspirin and other modern conveniences... but the other head of science is bad! Oh, beware the other head of science, Arthur, it bites!

As a kid I barely remember the Tick, it looked unappealing and stupid from what I remember and never watched it. I forced myself to like it in my teens when I got back into animation and everyone raved about so I wanted to see why it was so loved, it took me until watching it a second time for me to enjoy it. I did love the live action show, the first one since the Prime Tick revival is mediocre.

I think there's plenty of potential for a new tick show animated or live action, hope we get something out of the character.

I would be happy to get the whole series on blu ray.

Wasn't there a Tick revival on Amazon a few years back? Seemed pretty recent even.

Tick was just too stupid.

I liked Freakazoid more overall, but they're both great, in my opinion anyway. But then again, I'm a sucker for 'superhero' parodies/satires/gags/what-have-you.

No offense but how was Freakazoid smarter in any way?

Never really watched the show while it was on Saturday mornings. Once Comedy Central started airing it in primetime, I became a big fan.
I think the show was cancelled in its prime. Season 3 had some great episodes and I think they had some season 4 episodes planned before it got canned.

Unfortunately in the USA, season 1 and 2's DVD releases were missing one episode each, and season 3 was never released. The show is currently streaming in its entirety on Hulu though. I'd go back and watch it again if I had the time.

Its like difference between Michaelangelo in 2k3 and 2k12, both stupid, but one is more than the other.

Freakazoid was definitely better but they're different shows. Tick is a superhero parody while freakazoid parodies anything it wants, hell it did whatever it wanted not only parodies.

The revival wasn't great or too funny. It had great ideas and a large budget, with watching for when they do get it right but overall it's a disappointment. I posted my thoughts about in one of the links above

Yeah, season 1 and 2 release was missing one episode for legal reasons of some kind....not sure if it ever got resolved. Never got season 3.
